The Retreat isn’t bad at all I would still recommend it to prospective residents. BUT apartments are overpriced 1200 for a 4X4, absolutely insane. Maintenance staff is really kind and does try their best. I got a really unlucky unit right next to the parking garage, it was living hell. Car enthusiasts LOVE to rev their cars uncontrollably at 4am. It never stops. This place is terrible and do not be fooled by true high rating. It’s run by frat guys and maintenance is extremely under qualified. They will blame residence for broken appliances, will charge residents for months and say they are “fixing the issue” while increasing the late fee. If I could give zero stars I would. I have lived at the Retreat at Kennesaw for over a year now, and the past few months have been insufferable. Our AC was broken for two and a half weeks, and we couldn’t get so much as a response from any maintenance. It took WEEKS to get any type of sufficient answer and it still could not compare to amending the situation. PLEASE READ! i have lived here for about 2 years, not by choice. I trued to break my lease but you have to pay 6 months to be able too. lol. Also, rent is 1200 for a 4 bedroom. Meaning it is 4800 PER APARTMENT. Whereas anywhere else is the same for a 1 bedroom. Dont waste your money to live at a place that has broken gates, broken appliances, and a team that doesnt allow breaking a lease REGARDLESS of the situation. I have been a resident at this property for four years, and the way my concerns have been handled over the past several months has been completely unacceptable. Since Yugo took over management (formerly The Retreat at Kennesaw), I have experienced ongoing washer failures in my unit, often leaving me without a functioning washer for a week or more at a time.
