I loved living here my freshman year. Great staff and nice apartments and amenities. It is definitely overpriced I have to say. Recommend experiencing it once at least and then moving somewhere bigger and cheaper. Rooms and bathrooms are not really huge here.
The Retreat isn’t bad at all I would still recommend it to prospective residents. BUT apartments are overpriced 1200 for a 4X4, absolutely insane. Maintenance staff is really kind and does try their best. I got a really unlucky unit right next to the parking garage, it was living hell. Car enthusiasts LOVE to rev their cars uncontrollably at 4am. It never stops. PLEASE READ! i have lived here for about 2 years, not by choice. I trued to break my lease but you have to pay 6 months to be able too. lol. Also, rent is 1200 for a 4 bedroom. Meaning it is 4800 PER APARTMENT. Whereas anywhere else is the same for a 1 bedroom. Dont waste your money to live at a place that has broken gates, broken appliances, and a team that doesnt allow breaking a lease REGARDLESS of the situation. If I could give zero stars I would. I have lived at the Retreat at Kennesaw for over a year now, and the past few months have been insufferable. Our AC was broken for two and a half weeks, and we couldn’t get so much as a response from any maintenance. It took WEEKS to get any type of sufficient answer and it still could not compare to amending the situation. Excellent place for your teenage daughter or son while attending KSU. One of my daughters stayed here for her 1st year at KSU. Incredibly safe place, no violence, well maintained, property management there riding golf carts all day and part of the night. I was super worried about my daughter the first 2 months. I met with the main property manager, really nice guy ( I forgot his name). He knew the students, he knew which unit they stayed, etc He watches over the students like a hawk.
