Good Vac Does a good job.
Quality Works as should - little pricey
Works Fine So Far I've had this for about a month now. I have a variable speed pump that runs at 3000 RPM for 2 hours, then 2 hours at 1400 RPM and then 1300 RPM for 10 hours. I also have a dedicated suction port in addition to the skimmer. I have it connected to the suction port and also purchased a Zodiac Leaf Canister since I want to prevent larger pieces of debris to go directly to the pump and the filter. It’s almost perfect! I really like this pump and it works very well, for the most part. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it does tend to get stuck on my stairs and will sometimes sit in the same spot for hours. Otherwise, the pump is a beast and at a really great price.
For me it gets no better......... I had to copy Scott's review headline. I totally agree with him. It has been a game changer for me. When we built our pool they wanted $6500 extra for a dedicated Polaris pool cleaner.(runs on a separate pump). I declined at the time and had regrets. Since this was a larger pool than what they normally build, they did not install enough pool jets. I have what my dad refers to as dead spots. gets stuck by stairs If you're looking for a vac that GETS STUCK on stair corners ALMOST EVERY TIME..congratulations! You've found it! If not, be prepared to go to the pool frequently to free it up. this is my 3rd one and I keep hoping the new gen will have solved that problem..but no.. seriously i think they've made no changes to this vac in years. the one good thing about this is it's far cheaper than the ones with wheels and flappers.
Not as good as I had hoped It’s ok .. but for the price I expected a lot more suction . Works ok. But I think I could have gotten a cheaper model that does the same ..
Saves me a lot of manual work My zodiac G3 does a pretty good job overall. I found that if I adjust the suction so that it cleans all the way up to the waterline, it also pulls my retro pool light out of its niche, and has done this several times already. If I reduce the suction enough to keep the pool light where it belongs, then I get a green ring around the upper part of the pool wall and have to brush it. I have contacted both the zodiac and light companies for suggestions to resolve this and still don't have a solution.... read more
