Working well but needs tuning I bought a Baracuda G3 recently to replace a G2 that I'd used for about 5 years, that seemed to be disintegrating, pieces breaking off. I didn't hold this against Zodiac because it was in use every day during that period, in water temps from 35 to 105 degrees, depending on season. Under those conditions,, 5 years is a pretty good useful life. The only maintenance cost on the G2 was replacing the diaphragm yearly, and I expect the G3 to be the same. UPDATE: I returned it! UPDATE: Well, I spoke too soon because the very next day the thing stopped moving and my pool pump lost prime to such an extreme it took hours to get it going again. There doesn't appear to be anything stuck in it and suction is happening, but it doesn't move and doesn't even make the annoying bipbipbipbip. I downloaded and printed the manual (which wasn't included in the box) and it told me there was a quick release cassette but didn't tell me where it was.
