said the G3 is better then any new models 2nd G3 I have owned. Went to the pool store to look at other cleaners and the lady who worked there, said the G3 is better then any new models. I had my first one 7 years and replaced pieces and parts at a very reasonable cost.

Overall a nice auto pool cleaner So far this little gadget has been great...it's only been a few days but the pool is cleaner than it's been in weeks so I guess that's a good sign. It's replacing an old Kreepy Krauly that would get stuck on stairs and drains routinely. Not to mention all of the leaves that stop it from running for half the day. Five Stars Only one moving part - works great.
Much better than the MX8 I've been using the Baracuda for just over a month and its a great cleaner. It replaces several MX8s that I purchased over the past several years. Those cleaners clog easy (leaves, small rocks, thin palm leaves). The Baracuda though does a fantastic job at scrubbing the pool surface (pebbletec) and dealing with debris as well as obstructions (stairs). This cleaner will be much less problematic than the MX8 since the only real replacement will be the diaphragm.
