Automatic Pool Cleaner In the past ten years I have worn out two of these great pool cleaners. At just under $300 EACH cleaner has provided a solid five years of low maintenance service. I plan to continue using Baracuda brand pool cleaners as replacements for as long as I have a pool.
It likes the ladder Overall it works great except for one thing. Constantly goes to the ladder and gets hung up. I keep a pole near the ladder so I can unhook it when this happens. Other than that, my pool is cleaner than it has been in years.
Improved over earlier series I have purchased 4 in this series over the last 20 yrs. This is an improvement in that it operates well at low pump speed with lower suction which my earlier Baracuda pool cleaners would not do.
Last about 3 -4 Year This cleaner gets good coverage, but misses some spots. However it is virtually maintenance free as compared to my Hayward which was in the shop at least once a year. You may have to pull some long sticks or leaves out occasionally as you would with any cleaner, but I replaced the diaphragm on my last one twice before the whole thing was worn out. This is my second G3, and will probably get a third in 3-4 yrs when this one dies.
Baracuda G3 - Great Product We were skeptical that this unit would pickup leaves and other debris in our pool. The unit surpasses our expectations and cleans walls, steps, bottom efficiently. It is nice to purchase an item that does all it claims and then some.

as usual The Barracuda meets my expectations. It is my third one. They last here in Florida an average of 5 years but mine is always in the water so the mop wears out. Of course the hoses and diaphragm have to be changed on a regular basis but in comparison to other similar products out there, this is the best in my opinion.
Excellent I really like this product, it does a great job cleaning my pool. My last clearner did a so so job, with the Baracuda my pool spark after each cleaning.
Excellent pool vacuum Once you make the proper adjustments (hose and weights) to get the vacuum adjusted to cover your pool when it is running, it is perfect.
