Amazing Pool Cleaner Son-in-law had this on his wish list. They have had an in-ground pool for 3 years. This cleaner does such an amazing job. The pool is the cleanest it has ever been! Works in cold & warm waters.
Great catch! When our Hayward (haywire!) finally pooped out, several people recommended the Barracuda due to its incredible simplicity and reasonable price. Despite reviews saying the pad wears out quickly, we figured the benefits of a reliable product would far outweigh occassionally replacing the $19 part. So far, so good.
The Baracuda saves me a lot of time! I love his product because it's saving me and my husband a lot of time! You can just leave the Baracuda working all day and it will clean everything, leaves and dust. We also purchased the leaf canister so that our filter would last longer. So far, it has been working great. Recommended.
Does the job without needing attention This is our third Baracuda cleaner, have been using these for many years in our in-ground pool. The previous cleaner lasted 8 years. A few years ago our pool was remodeled and now has a pebble surface which causes more wear on the cleaner. Even so, this cleaner is very durable, dependable, and rarely needs attention. Good value so far and works well in my pool so far As for effectiveness of the G3 in my pool, that will take more time than the 2 weeks it's been in use. We have a large 30,000 to 38,000 gallon 8.5 ft deep diving pool. While somewhat rounded corners, the shape of the pool is a very squared off "L" shape. with the shallow end on the smaller part of the "L". Best Baracuda ever! I owned the G4 for 5 years until it fell apart. I decided to replace it with a G3 since it has less moving parts. As soon I put it into the pool it started working, it goes into corners the G4 wasn't able to do for some reason. The foot of the G3 seems a little smaller than the G4, maybe that's why. It's racing around the pool and my pool is 100% spotless. I will buy this one again. Very powerful.

Compared to the Ultra Hayward this.... For the past 8 years I have had the ultra hayward in ground pool cleaner. With the hayward, I was spending $100.00 or more every 1-2 years to repair due to all the moving and breakable parts. Over the past 4-5 years I have spent more and more time manually cleaning the pool. I have had the G3 now for about a month and it cleans my 15,000 gallon pool better then the hayward ever did. Gets trapped in corners I've had an earlier model for about 3 years (but it looks the same). This has been the only glitch I have encountered with this item. I gave up the first year because it would sit in the corner and vibrate, but not move around. The pool guy recommended buying the wheel thing. Made no difference.
