I would recommend it It works ok but always gets hung up in behind the ladder. It cleans my 12 x 24 pool good but can't leave it unattended.
Nice pool vac This is a lot better than using a hand vacuum, but the hose gets caught up in itself and I will find the vacuum stuck in one spot because the hose is kinked. I will probably try a hose-less, cordless vac for next summer. This does work much better than the standard pool vac, it just requires my attention more than I thought it would.
meets basic need Assembled easily, However, connection to filter basket took some figuring, instructions could have been more detailed, they seemed incomplete. I use this in a 27' above-ground pool. It cleans fair, missed several spots. It tends to be influenced by filter return jet too much (did try re-aiming jet to different directions). Gets hung up on ladder, in spite of deflector ring. Does not clean walls. Still easier than manually scrubbing entire pool with pole/brush vacuum.
Nice automatic pool cleaner We only got to use it once this season but it did the job on our 24' round above-ground pool. I'm sure that next season it will see lots of use. It's lightweight but we had no problem assembling it or using it.
Excellent investment, you would not be sorry. I would purchase another one just in case this one ever stops running. Purchased it over two years ago and have not had any problems. It picks up the bigger items such as leaves and pine straws and is able to go everywhere in our 18' round vinyl above ground pool. Saves a lot of time when it comes to cleaning the bottom.
GREAT CLEANER THIS WORKS GREAT ON MY ABOVE GROUND POOL, THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT IS THAT THE HOSE KINKS UP AND THE BARACUDA THEN GETS STUCK IN ONE PLACE. YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE HOSE IN THE SUN STRAIGHTENED SO IT GETS THE BENDS OUT OF IT. GREAT CLEANER , BAD CHEAP HOSE IT COMES WITH. IT TOO MUCH OF A BIG DEAL IF YOUR IN THE POOL WITH IT OR HAVE THE TIME TO DIRECT IT AROUND.
Keeps Pool Clean I have used a Baracuda Ranger for several years. This does a great job on keeping my large (20'x42') above ground pool nearly spotless. It's virtually maintenance free and fool-proof. I didn't get much use from the little blue plastic "floaties" that came with the unit, so to keep my hose from tangling, I cut up some large-holed foam "noodles" and slid them onto the hose to keep it floating and tangle free.
