Grace Esmalla is the best psychiatric provider I’ve ever had. She truly cares for her patients and takes the time to listen to your concerns. She is very encouraging and empathetic. I never feel rushed during our visits. My only concern is with the billing department. I emailed with some concerns several months ago, and despite multiple attempts trying to get in touch with them, I never heard from them. Besides my negative experience with billing, I’ve appreciated my time so far at Zoelife.
Used to be really good but the policies must have changed over time because it felt like the communication I had with my provider was restricted further and further as time has gone on. Then when I had to move states they wouldn't let me speak with my provider any longer. Made the transition much more difficult than it needed to be. I was prohibited from speaking with the only person I felt actually cared about my mental health at a time I needed it most. Yesterday, I called after work and specifically asked if I could get my clinical notes THE SAME DAY if I drove over. Anne Catherine or Marie Catherine confirmed yes, I’d get them same day if I signed a release. She said she’d tell Brittany Who is there in the office. Drove there immediately. Brittany had no idea what I was talking about. No call, no note, nothing documented about the same day promise I was given. Then she tells me I CAN sign for my records but WONT get them same day. I been seeing Erin for quite awhile. I have another therapist outside of Zoelife as well. I will say both my therapists are amazing. But I'd like to talk about Erin here. She's incredible. She's wise. She's helped me grow alot throughout our time together. Her insights have opened my eyes to things I hadn't noticed.
