Sending our child away from home was definitely one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make in our lives. However, we are very glad that we learned of Agape' particularly and connected with so many staff members and made lifelong friends and family. Our son graduated high school from here and without their influence, this would not have been possible. We are so thankful for their dedication to each and every child that enters the door there regardless of their reason for being there. They lead by Christian example and make sure that is instilled in every child daily along with schoolwork. Ultimately, it is the child's decision whether or not they want to overcome and succeed. Agape' was just the right connection to make this possible for our son. Thanks a million to Agape' and many of the staff that made such an impact on our boy!! You know who you are. You are awesome to us!! Our child still talks about many of you and looks up to you dearly. more »

Boarding school...! Who knew it wasn't going to be like Disneyland? My wife and I knew it wasn't going to be Disneyland for our son. But then our son wasn't exactly doing the things that get rewarded with a trip to Disneyland. Unfortunately, he was doing just about everything he shouldn't have been doing. So, he ended up in Boarding school instead of Disneyland.
Agape saved his life. It wasn't easy for him there, and God knows it wasn't easy for us sending him there. But, after exhausting all other avenues of help and treatment, this was our only remaining option. I knew my son was somewhere living in that troubled young man living in the bedroom upstairs. I needed for the troubled-one to go away so my son could emerge. Agape helped my son rid himself of that troubled young man he had become and set him back on the right path. The journey through Agape was not easy. The path when he got home was not that easy either. But, with God's Grace and Benevolent Healing, our son began to emerge.
Today he has a full time job. He is going to a Community College taking a summer school class and plans to attend that school in the Fall.
He lives on his own. He pays his own way. He has friends.
He is still prone to temptation (aren't we all?). But, today he has a way to go. There is still work to do and he knows it. He is trying his best to get it done.
God's Mercy will be shown to those willing to accept it. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
If you're not in a place in your life to receive God's Mercy, Agape will help you get there.

Agape Boarding School saved the lives of my son, my husband and me. Agape embraced our son, filled him with the Holy Spirit, gave us a break from the chaos of the life we were living with our son and an opportunity to renew our marriage and relationship. Our son will graduate in a week, we will bring him home and his new life will begin thanks to Agape. His choices will be shaped by the excellent role modeling of manhood that the staff at Agape demonstrates on a daily basis, not through their words, but by their actions. We will forever be indebted to Agape for their mission and willingness to turn the lives of these young men around. more »

Agape Boarding School was the best choice I could have made for my teenage son. He was on a very troubled path. Agape provides a caring and structured environment that troubled teens so desperately need. The educational program is solid and quality. I was amazed and impressed by the campus and the staff at Agape. I can say without a doubt that the students are provided with excellent care by a Christian staff who truly wants to see our sons succeed in life and grow in spirit and faith. My son has been there almost 6 months now and the change for the better has been significant. I truly thank God every night that he is at Agape and know that it was the best decision I could have ever made to benefit my son and place him on the right path. I spent months trying to find the right fit for my son and Agape was the best choice and the right choice. more »

My grand son is enrolled at Agape Boarding School. So far, so good--we can see a change in his thinking and I can only thank this School for that. Thank you. Thank you. I pray for complete success, realizing the difficulty of the Teen Years in general. Just knowing that he is not alone and that the staff constantly monitors these young men is such a relief. more »

The staff at agape boarding school sacrificed so much for me. They gave me hope when I had none. Most importantly, they showed me who Jesus Christ is. I want to work with youth too so that I can help kids like me, just like they did at agape. more »

Words cannot express my gratitude for Agape Boarding School. My son excelled there and became a completely different person from the brash, mean and angry child he was before. I was terrified for his future and I feared for his life before, but today he is in college and doing very well. Thank you Agape. more »

I don't know how to thank you for what you have done for our son Pierluigi F. He was a troubled boy, and we didn't know what to do with him. Discipline did no good - he would sneak his way out of it. I an a new Christian myself, and didn't know about Christian boarding schools. I was searching the phone books and the internet- and I found you! We see, in every staff person we have met such love for our son as well as all the other boys. The changes we see in our son seem like a miracle.
My husband and I had a wonderful time there when we visited with our son, and again saw how much Pierluigi has grown, and changed.
So, again thank you to all who are involved in Pierluigi's life. What a difference it has made in our whole family, just seeing him as happy as he is.
In Christian Love,
Fiorentino Family.

It has been a while since I left Agape, but I wanted some time to think before I could say anything. My experience at Agape was amazing. It's crazy how you can actually use what you learned at Agape in real life situations. Learning about God and his word has really helped me out in the "real" world. There were points in my stay where I was hopeless and believed my stay was pointless but now that I'm standing where I am today, I finally see the work God has done. I constantly...
See More think back to situations or lessons that I learned from when I was there and I have to admit that I am blessed beyond belief. Agape didn't just save my life, it opened my eyes. God is truly using the men and women there to change boy's lives. I don't believe that all or even most boys leave "fixed", as men, or as saints, but Agape does provide all the tools young men need to lead a successful, healthy, and productive life; if they are so willing. It is no doubt that the Hand of God is on this Boarding School. May they never become discouraged, and continue to change boy's lives; one boy at a time.

I went here. Good school for kids who have crappy parents. Did I love it here? No, but it saved me from a crappy life back at home. Former students who gave bad reviews came from rich families who spoiled them.

You don't have to believe in God when you're there. They don't physically force you, but you are required to attend church and read the Bible. I believe it's good to experience and explore religion even if you eventually decide to not believe in it later on.

My only complaint is the education curriculum was dead easy. I literally finished 4 years of high school work in the year and a half I was there. The education there did not prepare me well for science or engineering degrees.

As a former student I can tell u first hand that I never felt closer to God at anypoint in my life. We may not agree on every little thing but that's life it happens.
Before I came to Agape
I was a14yr old juvenile who didn't give a "hoot" about "hoot".
When I left 22months later I was a God fearing yes sir yes ma'am respectable young man.
Id like to thank bro scott and bro jim blake for helping me learn perseverence hard work and respect.
Yea it sucked having to do 1,000 ...
See More pushup for something I did wrong but it taught me self discipline. Which I can still do 1,000 in just over an hr and a half more then 10years later.
Is this place perfect...no...is anyplace on earth? I guarantee you though if u leave your child here for over the recommended year they will come back a changed man for the better

About

Agapé Boarding School offers a wide variety of opportunities for troubled boys. We help boys get back on the right track toward a bright future. We provide accredited academics, counseling, mentoring, sports, and many of the activities that boys enjoy. We are one of the lowest cost boarding schools for troubled teens in America. Agapé offers the same (if not better) quality and outcomes as the more costly therapeutic boarding schools. In fact, we are about 1/3rd the cost.

Th sprawling ranch campus of Agape Boarding School, located in Missouri, is an amazing place with multiple sports facilities, a huge game room, pool, dozens of horses (including equine therapy), a vast array of exotic and farm animals, a rodeo facility, and so much more. The approach here is very disciplined and structured, but loving, relational and caring. Our belief is that a truly changed heart ultimately comes from a personal relationship with God.
