Our experience with ACE Rental Car was extremely disappointing from start to finish. It took two different buses just to get to the rental location — already a hassle. When we arrived (an hour early, our mistake), we were told our reserved vehicle wasn’t available and were forced to pay for an upgrade. The agent we worked with was virtually on an iPad, while the people physically there, behind the desk, seemed uninterested and unhelpful. I have never ever written a review online before but feel I need to write one now so no one else will fall victim to this company. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental agency. I booked my car through Hotwire at a great price. When I arrived at your LAX location the line was long and it went extremely slow. After 45 min I finally was able to talk to the agent. STAY AWAY FROM ACE IF YOU GET THEM THRU PRICELINE CANCEL! I paid for a car rental thru Priceline and was set and confirmed thru Ace. Flight was delayed so I called Ace corporate office and they told me not to worry we will hold the car for 2 hours after estimated pick up. I arrived 1.5hrs later and was told by Lester ohh this expired and what corporate office said does not matter. The single worst experience of our lives we were stranded waiting for a shuttle it never came .8 o’clock at night we had to take an Uber to the office where we pick up the rental car they were closed again stranded along with four other families. The singe worse company - DO NOT RENT FROM ACE AND MAKE SURE HOTWIRE DOESN'T ASSIGN THIS COMPANY! Hotwire is also the singe biggest disappointment! They DO NOT CARE about their customers! We are trying to get refunded because Ace was not picking us and many family’s up and we were stranded - so so awful and scary!
