Dr. Perlmutter is personable, listens well and takes the time to explain everything to your satisfaction. He is highly regarded by his peers and the surgical team at St Mary's spoke very highly of him as well.In conclusion, I was very pleased to find a surgeon who is as relatable and down to earth as Dr. Perlmutter.

Kind, Knowledgeable and caring
I had a robotic procedure, for what my Gyne doctor called, a prolapsed bladder. I had the BEST surgeon. Dr. Perlmutter was absolutely great!! Wonderful care. I would highly recommend him!
I had a terrible experience with Dr. Perlmutter's office. I went in for an MRI on February 14th due to elevated PSA levels. The results, which I received that same day, showed a potentially serious problem (PI-RADS 4 lesion).Since then, it's been impossible to get anyone in the office to discuss the results with me. I've called multiple times and left messages, but no one has bothered to call back. Nothing is urgent with this practice. It was so terrible I had a referral sent to another provider who actually might care about what I have going on.
This woman harassed me before I even saw the doctor. Cancelled my appointment twice. If the Dr. has the same sort of 'bedside manner' stay away from him. Maybe he's just a typical New Yorker.
