Absolutely charming, comfy and the perfect choice!!!
This was the BEST place to stay! Adelaide Inn is family owned, and I think that makes all the difference in the world! These folks care about
their property, and they care about the people who stay with them! We were delighted with our three night adventures!!
The inn is SO attractive! There are a few buildings, and each is adorned with great features! A koi pond with beautiful fish is nestled and safe in one corner of a building, while a fabulous and fun covered swing, with a picnic table in the middle!, is featured along the side of a grassy area. The parking lot is large and convenient, with signs asking for no back-in parking. That's so exhaust doesn't go into guests' rooms! How considerate! There is also a large pool - and a (truly hot) 6 guest hot tub! It's about 100 degrees, with the pool kept a little lower, so it is perfect to plunge into after a hot soaking. Lots of leisure time space and atmosphere, with a beautiful assortment of plants and shrubs too. There is a small "micro golf" course - only four holes - but they are challenging, and can be quite additive. Great yard art pieces adorn the whole inn area, making it a really pleasant place to stay in!
We had a double queen room, complete with two comfortable chairs for reading or TV watching. There was also a large desk that accommodates planning and adventures too. The TV was easy to use, and offered great entertainment features. Toward the back was a make-up area, complete with a special chair. Two sinks and mirrors made sharing the room easy for the two of us, and the toiletries were extra special! Also the little kitchenette area was especially convenient for making morning coffee and tea, to accompany the delicious fresh mini muffins and scones served in the office with fresh apples and oranges each morning. We used the refrigerator to keep sodas and such cold, and the freezer actually kept our frozen things solid! The microwave even popped my popcorn without burning it! The bathroom was spotless - and kept that way too! The towels are luxuriously soft and deep, and there are plenty already in the room! Everything was nice, clean and superior! Loved it!
That includes the bed! And the pillows! The bed was perfect - clean, fresh and SO comfortable! Just enough covers too! The pillows were perfect!!! Not foam or hard. Not downy flat. I should have checked because they were the BEST! All three nights I slept the BEST ever! Loved it!!!
I don't care if there is a little wear on a door. I don't care if there is a tiny dent on something. I DO care that where I sleep is clean, kept nice, and the folks who take my money are good people. This inn meets all of the requirements and so much more! We could not have found a nicer place to stay! This is a great inn, and we WILL return! Thanks so much!!!
Oops... forgot to add the cookies served in the afternoon are DELICIOUS! My husband is THE cookie monster, and each afternoon, he was delightfully surprised with a new wonderful cookie choice! Great with the cocoa, coffee, and tea in our room! What gracious touches - found everywhere!

Business Response:
Wow! you should be our sales manager. What a nice and detailed review. Word of mouth is our number 1 source of business and I will be sharing this review with our staff and our extended family of guests who have visited us throughout the years. Please ask for me when you return. I'd love to say hello! Bill, GM

Great place at a fair price.
I have been staying at Adelaide Inn for years. They never ever have disappointed me. Most of the hotels/motels in town are priced pretty high for the value. Adelaide
is well within my budget and always a great value.
Clean, well kept, Beautiful flower gardens. Staff is friendly and helpful
Highly recommended

There is something to be said about older established business.
There are other places you can find to stay at, other than the chain hotels. This is a vintage find, the out side is charming and
well kept reminiscent of 1960's style, but the rooms do not reflect this era. The decor is up to date, nice, clean and does not show its age. Comfortable beds and really nice bath room. Comes with a staff that is equal to a high end establishment kind and down to earth. The area like most have seasonal rates. It's located in California Wine Country, Paso Robles, having said that it may be average to pricey depending on their season of wine production and releases. The area is not a good location for kids, definitely an adult playground for wine lovers. more »

Better for my needs
I liked staying here because for what I needed it was perfect. This trip I just needed a place to stay one night. Adelaide Inn was clean, comfortable, affordable and convenie
nt. I did enjoy the quaintness of the room. I did not need all the updated modern furniture. What was there was very comfortable and adequate.
They have all of the extras the more modern inns have, including internet access, so there is no difference there. The staff is friendly. The cookies were tasty, The grounds were clean, well maintained and inviting.

Quaint Charm
This is a locally owned and managed property with wonderful charm. The office triggered pleasant memories of childhood hotel stays when the family traveled cross country. The staff
were all very friendly and helpful. Even though I only stayed for two nights, the room was well equipped to accommodate longer stays with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Fresh baked goods in the morning and afternoon and fresh, locally grown fruit were available in the office each day. I would definitely stay here again. Their rates are very competitive with the chain properties in town. more »

I always enjoy my stay at the Adelaide Inn. It is a very relaxing, family oriented motel and the staff is very welcoming and goes out of their way to may your stay as good as possible. The rooms are large and well appointed and the motel is centrally located within walking distance of 8 reasonable restaurants. more »

Convenient and comfortable stay
We recently stayed just for one night at the Adelaide inn on our way up to a wedding in Santa Rosa. It was so close to the freeway, so very easy to find as we pul
led in a little later than we expected. It was not so close as to be bothered by noise however. The room was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. They had cookies as a welcome treat which we appreciated. The people at the front desk (that night and in the morning) couldn't have been nicer. It was a very pleasant experience. more »

Quaint, Peaceful and Friendly
Pillow top mattress was heaven. Super clean, with a great room set-up. All amenities in the room (fridge, tv, make-up area, iron and board) super convenient. The po
ol area was very clean and inviting. The pool itself was perfectly heated and so was the jacuzzi. Blown glass artwork on the grounds; a coy fish pond and a very cool table/swing to sit on on the grassy area next to the bbq. Had a very positive stay; will definitely come again. more »

I have nothing but good things say about this hotel. We stayed here because we were attending a friend’s wedding in Templeton. Great location! Starbucks, gas station (AMPM), McDonalds
and Denny’s are all with walking distance. The hospitality was amazing. The pool area is beautiful! The room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. Room had a fridge and microwave which both worked great. I would definitely stay here again. Maybe next time time we’ll come for some of the wine tasting tours nearby. more »

Reasonably Priced for what we needed
My boyfriend and I stayed here back in January so when we needed another hotel closeby, we knew where to go. Unfortunately, it wasn't with good circumst
ances. My boyfriends Mom ended up at the ER in Templeton for about 8-10 hours on Saturday. Since we live about an hour away and didn't feel comfortable taking her home, we looked around for a place to stay overnight that was reasonable. We looked online and if places weren't sold out, they were $250-$300/night. Not what we were looking for. We called Adelaide Inn and they had a family suite - which meant we had our own room, his mom had a bed in the main living area, she had a microwave for her soup and a bathtub to relax - which was PERFECT. The price was perfect too at $170! I think it was one of their last rooms and it was a weekend so I was pretty shocked. Unfortunately I looked at my bill today and they had charged me $190. I tried to call them, was placed on hold and after five minutes I hung up. That was the only reason I took a star away. We had nothing to change into and didn't know we were going to stay in town so we called the front desk and they gave us free toothpaste and we walked to the gas station next door for a toothbrush, drinks, and mouthwash. We also went to Mcdonalds for a late dinner. I love how close this is to delicious food places and was reasonably priced. I'm going to call again tomorrow to ask about the $20 overcharge. Besides that, great experiences both times. more »

I was driving from SoCal to my home near Santa Cruz, when I realized I was just too tired to continue all the way home. I pulled off in Paso Robles to look for a place to crash for the night. My criteria were that it needed to be safe, clean, and reasonably priced.

The Adelaide Inn was remarkable. Steve was the check-in guy, and he got me set up in a wonderful room. It was clean, attractive, and very comfortable. I’m extremely picky about pillows and had brought my own with me. I’m pretty sure this is the only place I have ever stayed in where my efforts were unnecessary! Steve also filled me in on what was available locally.

I would definitely stay here again. In fact, I regret that I wasn’t staying for longer or making a trip out of it. It was very comfortable and I even felt spoiled. And it was reasonably priced! I was telling a friend about it, and she said that she had stayed here for work years ago and loved it. So the Adelaide Inn has a longstanding history of being a comfortable place. Thanks!

Charming place for wine country visit
We stayed here for 3 nights. The grounds are beautiful. The room was updated but maintained the charm of this fine old inn. We got a sense of "old Paso" and
were completely comfortable. The staff were helpful and efficient, the room was very clean. We missed the Friday night wine tasting because we had another event, but it would have been fun. We also appreciated the breakfast coupons for the diner next door. The location allowed us easy access to the places we wanted to visit. I would recommend the Adelaide Inn experience to anyone. more »

Just another visit to my fav Paso hotel
Stayed at the Adelaide again this year for my trip to Eroica California. As always the staff is friendly - even when I manage to lock my self out of my ro
om for the second straight year in a row! Only glitch was loss of hot water on my second night but the hotel offered to move me to another room or let me use another room for my shower. Can't ask much more than that for a thoughtful accommodation. See you next year if not sooner! more »

Nice hotel with free morning baked goods!
This is a very nice hotel that is conveniently located off the Freeway 101 in Paso Robles. Their offering of cookies and morning muffins was a plus. The
staff was super nice, rooms very clean and location excellent. But, since it is an older hotel it does not have the soundproofing of newer establishments. That said, I would still stay here again. more »

Family owned and operated for over 50 years, the Adelaide Inn specializes in the guests comfort. In most of our guestrooms you will find comfortable, homey features including reclining armchairs, makeup mirrors, and flat-screen televisions with premium cable channels. The business traveler will appreciate our accommodations with amenities not usually found at comparably priced properties. Our rooms also include a working desk, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave, and free high speed internet with WiFi access. The Adelaide Inn’s name was taken from our favorite area with it's beautiful countryside of oak covered roads, running streams and varied wildlife in the hills west of town. It is here that one can sense a slower pace and friendly hospitality reflective of simpler times. We attempt to emulate this relaxed feeling at our Paso Robles California Hotel and we believe that this, coupled with our exceptional service, makes us one of the finest hotels in Paso Robles, CA.more »
