The scanner combined with the Paperport software does a very good job of reducing mountains of old bills and statements to searchable computer files. Here are the reasons I did not give it the full 5 stars. 1) Limited scan settings for scans initiated from the front panel. Must initiate from computer to achieve good settings. 2) Occasional paper handling issues. I had one 12 page document that appeared perfectly good, but mid feed every time I tried it - at least 10 tries. Same document fed perfectly through my Brother MFC. ... read more
I have used it for a month now and I don't have any complaints. Before I had a all in one, it took up too much of my desk space and I did not use the all in one to it's full capacity. Wanted to update so I opted for a stand alone scanner and a portable printer since I don't print much. I did not load any of the software. I can scan straight to my computer or open Paperport 14 and scan to a system I have already been using. It is simple to use and I am totally satisfied with my purchase and would recommend product.
