When you see Dr. Mohamed, you know he truly cares. Does not rush through his patients on some arbitrary pre-set timetable. Occasionally you have to wait a little past your appointment time, but that is because he personally cares about his patients and takes whatever time is needed with every single person. He listens, asks questions, discusses issues, and possible treatments. Explains both pros and cons. Never pushes you, but gives you options and lets you decide. Makes you feel like a person
A Deposit of $150 was required before beginning Services. When I decided to change doctors and had not seen him for over a year, the office staff tried to be helpful about the return of my deposit. However, there is a frequent turnover in front office staff and when calling you may need to explain billing issues from the start. When I requested my deposit back after changing provider to someone else, I was told was that they needed to verify my Social Security number that they supposedly didn't have. I provided this And then... read more
I was questioned about my insurance and copay 3 times. (I have good insurance) The Dr. ask how I was, ask about me, He prescribed medicine and sent me upfront, all in about 10 minutes. I asked the girl, is he going to talk to me anymore? She said, no sir. 2nd visit she asked me same questions about copay. Dr. ask if meds were working, ask a question about something I mentioned before, extremely difficult to talk about but before I completed my 1st sentence, he said excuse me and jumped up and left the room. He returned 10 mi... read more
Do not recommend. He does not send prescriptions to the pharmacy. His office staff is horrible, rude, and assumes everyone he sees are drug addicts. Better of with a Teledoc psychiatrist.
I called around looking for a new psychiatrist, this doctor was recommended by my insurance. I called to schedule an appointment, apparently you have to pay $100 deposit plus $80 copay. I asked the receptionist why that is if you have insurance to cover you. Her response was "just in case your insurance doesn't cover you". It is very simple for a doctor's office to double check that before you are seen by the doctor. This was a little shady to me. I didn't bother scheduling appointment.
His front desk woman is an awful human. She will scream and you and hang up on you. They don’t send your medicine when they say they will and he charges you for everything. He forgets about you bc he has so many people to see. He’s late every morning.
dealing with his staff isn't worth the hassle. go to a doctor that has a professional staff.
After my sister took our father to see him he quickly let them know He did not accept United health care Medicare supplement and he would have to pay out of pocket. Based on his age why didn’t they inquire what insurance he carried before making an appointment. Then he told Home he didn’t like patients from Port St. Joe they were always late or dealing with family doctors. He then told him he should go to Tallahassee. Also said he didn’t have dad’s medical records. All were faxed prior to his
I had the first appointment of the day and 1.5 hours later he still had not come into the office.
