Get directionsMy husband and I had a double date on colonoscopy at the Gainesville office with Dr McCutchen. He has Crons disease and she has been fantastic. He has had no problems since swapping from his last doctor. I would highly recommend her
Saw Dr. McCutchen after my family had recommend her. I have been sick for months with no answers in sight. After seeing many Dr. and exstensive testing I had gave up hope. She listened to my symptoms and how I felt she figured it out with just 2 visits. I feel like a new person and I am so grateful for her. Perfect bedside manners, very personable, very honest and even called me after hours with results and explained my condition in terms I could understand. TRUST HER WITH MY LIFE !!!!
My husband was a patient of Dr. McCutchen. She ordered three procedures- colonoscopy, endoscopy, and a camera pill (?). He was scheduled to meet with her for consultation with test results. After 2 hours in the waiting area- the doctor never appeared. He left the office. The clinic staff said they would call him with the results- that never happened as well. We are currently searching for another gastroenterologist.
Had a consult after being referred by primary doctor. Appointment was great, scheduled colonoscopy due to symptoms, and was asked to bring back a sample for lab work. Lab work came back with bacterial infection. I saw it on my patient chart online. It took almost a week for the doctor to have someone notify me. I was told being on the antibiotics and having the infection would not affect procedure. Prescription that was sent to pharmacy was going to cost $7,000. I called the doctors office, which, I must add, doesn’t even gi... read more
Our daughter, 18 years old, was diagnosed with SIBO, lost 30 pounds in about a month, weighed 78 pounds & after several months of being in & out of hospital & Dr. McCutchens was called by ER & she suggested new medicine which we started for the SIBO. Then after the ER we followed up by seeing McCutchens in Clinic. She seemed not to care that she weighed 78 pounds, told us she would gain it back. I asked if we needed to give her medical food, she said no. I asked if she needed an IV for food, she said no..."MOM SHE WILL BE FI... read more
If I could rate her a negative I would.
I have no problems with Dr. McCutchen. However, her assistant is so rude that I found myself dreading calling her office for help. That is not good when you have colitis and have spent days in the hospital with C-Diff. I changed doctors today.
I have been a patient of Dr. McCutchen's for over a year now. Whether or not you will be pleased with her depends on the reason for which you are seeing her. If you don't have an ongoing gastro condition and only need a routine procedure, you will be very pleased. She is very bright, professional, and skilled. However, if you need ongoing care that will require ANY degree of communication through her office, you will be appalled at the lack of responsiveness & confusion of her and her staff.

I had Chronic Cholecystitis which left untreated can be potentially life-threatening if left untreated. Even twitch abnormal test results she failed to diagnose me.
