Though the restaurant sits in a very appealing location and one can dine overlooking the 'lazy' river, that is not enough to justify the premium cost for an average meal. Our server, as nice as he was, was not overly engaging (which we believe adds to an dining experience). The food was ok overall, with the pickled shrimp & pimento cheese offering quite flavorful. We've not been back to Hilton Head for several years. Alexanders was always one of our favorites. It was like coming home. everything was exceptional. They still have the best oysters on the island! Everyone's meal was outstanding. The restaurant is bright and clean. The service was great. It was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. It is still one of our favorites.
