Our family had a reservation for the early bird special dining at 5:00 pm. The waiter gave us only the regular menu and not the early bird menu that was not mentioned or offered. The waiter informed us that there was a different menu only after I inquired when the check was given to us. The service was adequate but customers expect to be offered the appropriate menus during special dining options. We have never encountered this issue during our years of visits at other restaurants on the island.
Service was great Cocktails were great Mussel appetizer was just ok, smallish portion with just 10 smaller mussels and hardly any broth. Bacon wrapped shrimp was cold. Steak frites was good. The schnitzel wasn’t that great. The crème brûlée was on the old side. We always have had great to fantastic meals here and it might be a while before we go back. Almost as if the kitchen was having a bad night.
Enjoyable ambiance, food and service. One of our favorite restaurants on the island.
We had the pork and prime rib…which ended up being the best dinner in Hilton Head. The only reason I dropped the star was because the server didn’t care for our table because we had kids. So we didn’t hear specials or suggestions like he did other tables. We pay just like everyone else and our kids are well-behaved.
