Alexander's continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Hilton Head. This meal did not disappoint. I hosted a friend from Colorado and the food, service, atmosphere at Alexander's made for a memorable occasion. Alexander's is also one of the few Hilton Head restaurants still offering an Early Dining special - smaller plate sizes for a smaller price. Highly recommended.
We had a dinner reservation for a birthday dinner. This was noted on the reservation. When we were asked about desert, we declined stating we had a birthday cake waiting for us. No acknowledgment by the server regarding the birthday. Service wasn’t bad, just not personable. Food was average.

Great food. Would definitely recommend a reservation. First class service & food.
Our steaks were good and cooked to order, but I requested a substitution (mushrooms for fries), and instead did not get the broccolini. Our server realized it and mentioned it. We told him not to worry about it, but I felt that he should have corrected it anyway. Water was never refilled. We had reservations and were seated in the bar. Ambiance was not as nice, and a VERY loud group came in and stood at the bar and made conversation at all tables pretty much impossible. Tried eating at Alexander's last year but couldn't get a reservation. Booked early for this year. Food and adult beverages were very good and the service was outstanding. Must try the Chocolate Decadence, sounds like it wood be heavy but very light.
