We try to eat at Alexander’s every time we are in Hilton head. We opted for the regular menu because it offered more selections. Food was good and service was great even though they were short staffed. We were not disappointed.
Nice table by the water, but overall ambiance is dated. Server prompt and friendly, at first. My wife wanted a “christmassy” drink, something with peppermint, server said she had an idea….well, she never did. Went to the bar, bartender gruff like I was putting him off, asked if he had any ideas. Answer was no, had no peppermint liquors. Vegetable soup was fine, the shrimp cocktail, “local” shrimp, was a joke. 5 small shrimp, mushy and tasteless, like the shrimp you get in bags at the grocery.
