The food and service were good, not great. I had the tripletail special and my wife had shrimp and grits. The ambiance is nice if you’re lucky enough to be seated in the lower section with the windows along the lagoon. We weren’t lucky even though we had a 5:30 reservation. We used to go to Alexander’s every year when we visited HH, but hadn’t been there for a couple of years. Nothing last night made us want to put it on our list of restaurants to go to when we come back in October.

I went in a group of 5 friends and it was ok. The wine was too expensive. Some had the short ribs and said it was like a roast. I had prime rib and it was good, no salad comes with it. One had crab soup and said it was very good.

We have been going to Alexander’s for over 30 years when we come to Hilton Head Island for vacation. It never disappoints. We had amazing drinks and then delicious food. Thanks!!
