The she crab soup was too rich to eat and the Caesar salad was not good. The baked flounder was very good and so was the winter salad.
Great food, special dessert for wife’s birthday. Beautiful restaurant and location.
Alexander’s has a small menu of reliably very good fish and seafood supplemented by imaginative specials. We visited over MLK weekend and met the new chef who has come from Fraser’s in Sea Pines. We ordered the baked flounder from the regular menu and the special of cobia. Both were excellent. The cobia was lightly blackened and served over tiny red potatoes, broccoletti, and shaved Brussels sprouts with a little crema. We have come to Alexander’s the past two years while vacationing in HHI, and we love it. Everything from the cocktails to the food to the service is excellent.
Great restaurant for date night. Enjoyed the bar before dinner and service is excellent. The food was over salted this evening however tasty. We have eaten here many times and will again. This was the first time we were not totally satisfied with the meal.
This is are favorite restaurant with this being an exception. The daily entre missed the mark. I found it bland especially the crusted potato item. My partners plate vegies were undercooked - not yielding to being cut.
