Very quaint back room with well windowed wall over looking the canal. Service is outstanding, and food is very good with traditional preparations. Food quality and taste is high, but borderline value on some servings. As an example, tuna taco appetizers well done, but cost probably warranted six v four of the mini tacos. Overall, great atmosphere, service and food. Recommend for romantic evening.
LOVED Alexander's, as usual. We go there every year to kick off the summer vacation and it's a family tradition for almost 20 years. My dear server, Donna was the kindest, most attentive person. She was over-extended but you would never know it unless you observed how many tables she served. She never forgot a thing I asked for. The owner/manager--fabulous lady. All-around outstanding experience. Our server Michelle was awesome. The food came out fast and was DELICIOUS. We had the crab cakes & fried green tomatoes as apps and Wiener schnitzel and the 1/2 chicken as entrees. Good portions and cooked to perfection. Not sure why folks have had other experiences recently, but ours was fantastic!!!
