Typical Italian restaurants are quite small and for someone of my height, I would have appreciated if they would have tried accommodating the request I made in the reservation to have a table with more leg room. It’s was quite crammed so the restaurant was a bit loud. Aside from this the waiters and hosts were very polite. Food was good and didn’t take long. They had a nice drink menu that had different options but not too many. I would recommend this restaurant for certain occasions if you are ever in the SD area.
Waitress (Beatrice) was lovely. Bus staff never refilled water. Did not get requested plates for apps or fresh milled pepper for salad and pasta. Octopus, calamari apps were very delicious. Caesar salad was good but would have benefited by the fresh pepper and homemade croutons would elevate. Cappuccino was not cappuccino. Not sure they know how to make one. Two before dinner drinks; a Tom Collins & an Amaretto Sour were underwhelming. Sour needed more Amaretto. Would return when back in San Diego.
We had a group of 8 of us here on a Saturday night at 6pm. While it was busy, we were there early enough before the rush of the Saturday night crowd came in. We really wanted to like this place however it fell short. It took over an hour to get our meal. Tables around us who were seated after us were served and finished before us. When the pasta arrived, it was cold and you could tell it was sitting out for a while. Service and ambiance were great! Did not taste like real Italian though.. octopus was bland and pasta just tasted very mid.
Great place to enjoy a romantic dinner. The lemon room is a good mix of inside and outside. The old-fashion cocktail was perfect. And the pasta in the cheese wheel was delicious. Look for Marco to treat you right.
The yummiest pasta I’ve ever had! Beautiful location, great vibes. Very posh.
We waited two hours for before we got our food. They tried to overcharged us for the wine..but we caught it snd they corrected it. Food was decent. Many better dining options in little Italy.
One of the best Italian food I ever had. Definitely will be coming back here next time I’m in San Diego. Recommendations: The Gnocchi, and their Spaghetti Carbonara
I enjoyed the restaurant. The buratta salad was excellent; however, the pasta bolognese lacked some seasoning, which is why I gave the food rating a 4. The service was good. I sat outside, which was pleasant.
