I just wanted to say that Dr. Yu saved me from a major surgery. They almost cut me open to look into my stomach because I was having terrible stomach pain on my right side. Dr. Yu thought it was this nerve. We did a block and the block completely took away the pain for a few hours. Now we know what we are dealing with and I don't need to have surgery. Who would have thought a little nerve could cause so much pain! Go see this man if you have pain!!!!
For 4 months after a fall I have been complaining about my left hip. I saw my main doctor and a joint surgeon. They both said my hip was fine and everything was fine. But the pain keep getting worse. I saw Dr. Yu at the VA did he diagnosis me with SI joint pain and not hip pain. Lo and behold, after a injection to that joint the pain was mostly gone and i can walk again without terrible pain. My only complaint is making appointments easier please! Otherwise great doctor. Very happy
Really nice guy and knowledgeable. You can tell he really cares about you and your pain. Seen 3 other doctors but he was the first one to go over in detail what was happening in a way I could understand. It was a huge relief because I am not a doctor, and some of those words on my MRI sounded very scary. I feel much more reassured and we have a solid plan to tackle my issues
I have been a patient of Yu for one years now. He is one of the best pain doctors I have been to since becoming sick 8 years ago. He listens, takes the time to explain what is going on and makes me understand. Good sense of humor too :) I'm so happy to have finally found a great doctor.
I saw Dr. Yu for pain due to some disc issues in my back that were also radiating pain into the SI joint. I received a cortisone shot into the SI joint and it was a huge relief right in the clinic under an X-ray machine. Very effective! So far it has been 4 months and it is still working!
Good caring doctor. Happy with experience. I was so nervous about my back shots but he explained everything and made it so simple. Answered all my questions. I hate shots but worth it because my leg pain is gone Go see him if you are struggling with pain
Saw him for the first time in clinic today. Was very caring and attentive. He was the first one to explain what was wrong with my shoulder and what I could do about it. He promoted my body's natural healing. My other doctors just pushed more medications and injection, He's a a straight shooter and looks at you in the eye when speaking. Now only if I get back to the ski slopes!
Dr. Yu helped my daughter's cancer pain. He was extremely compassionate and consistently went above the call of duty to help her. I am grateful for such an amazing doctor. He was our ally and friend in our lowest and highest moments. There are many great doctors we met through this, but few that we felt like went above what was expect.
Dr. Yu is an amicable physician who treats his patients with the utmost consideration and care. He is knowledgeable about his field and adept isolating appropriate treatments for chronic pain. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
