Get directionsIt is still early - time will tell how well Mom adjusts. Staff has been great. Could have been a bit more structured around the transition process, but we got there.
I was impressed beyond belief, here. VERY lovely, gracious, intimate. Food and service looked delicious and delightful. I believe that for assisted living and memory care, this may be the most respectful of settings, designed to retain as much self-esteem as possible. I was impressed by the love of the sales associate for the residents, and the reciprocation by the resident I met.
We were very happy with them. I would give the staff more than a five. The day nurse staff was amazing. It's one of the nicest places we've seen. It was wonderful.
Overall I think they do a good job here. It's a nice looking community, and it is generally clean and well kept. The rooms are a good size, and we like that there are doors into a courtyard type area. They could use a bit more greenery outside to make sitting in the courtyard more pleasant. The care and activities are both areas where they could use a bit of work. They are a brand new community, only open a few months, and I feel like they are still settling into their routines.
Met with Kara Leek. Since no independent living offered, residents likely to need more care than at some places. Upside MD and nurses on staff a plus. Apts and storage were spacious. Common areas light and pleasant.
An absolutely lovely facility! Cathy is a true gem and the staff was delightful. We enjoyed meeting some of the residents as well. The facility was clean, beautifully appointed with wonderful amenities. Definitely high on our list of possibilities.
This is such a new place, clean and easy to walk thru. Its in our pricerange for a studio and the rehab facility next door seems well designed and state of the art. Cathy was helpful and the location is perfect.
My comment would be: Assisted Living is ok if your loved one doesn't need any individualized attention to their needs and has minimal dementia behaviors. Memory Care is an absolute disaster unless your patient is placid and docile. The limited staff and administrators have no tolerance, training, or understanding for falls or advanced dementia behaviors. If you love them, find a more suitable facility at the beginning rather than risk getting "dumped" when your family member needs care most.
It is a beautiful facility, the ladies at the front desk were very nice and management was very nice. However, the lady in charge of management just had way to much on her plate and was not able to oversee everything going on within the community. Some nurses were great, and some were not. It also seemed like the nurses were kind of just running wild. During the couple of months our loved one was there, it took a month for house keeping to come and clean, when they were supposed to be doing it weekly. Sometimes the entire be... read more
