RecommendedTook my dog there because he had an infection by his privates. Alta wouldn't even see him without $200 to get through their doors. Took dog to another vet in town that took my dog in immediately got the burrowed grass seed out that caused the infection and he made a great recovery. other vet charged me $250 TOTAL. would have been close to $500 through Alta. With my experience it seemed like Alta is more concerned about how fat your wallet is rather than the health of your pet.

Way overpriced, took my dog there in 2018, they said he needed xrays, & did xrays without letting me know & billed me an outrageous amount, when I called anout the ridiculous amount for price of xrays I asked for a manager to call me back, never got one phone call...🤷♂️ if you dont mind getting price gouged, go here...otherwise I recommend Hawthorne Animal Hospital, way better prices!!

my dog was scared to go in and the technician started yanking on his collar. I told her to stop and she was rude. clearly they have been mistreating my dog during covid because I can't go in. I will not return

You should advertise that you do not take low income patients. The front office staff should show compassion, regardless of the situation. They should be trained to give other options for care that is more affordable. I had a client that ended up owing you money and had to pay every month from their disability. That was fine, but you refused to treat any animals she had after that. I understand that I am not the only one that has complained about your service!!
My little baby jet was hit by a car two days ago and thankfully was not injured as bad as i thought. I watched the whole thing and in secs my heart fell to my stomache and i was so scared. I thought i would be calm in situations like that since i had before but before it wasnt my dog. But the treatment my dog got AT ALTA WAS VERY VERY TERRIBLE, RUDE, and CARELESS AND THE DOCTOR AND STAFF WERE HEARTLESS. And all the bad reviews that this clinic has are all true. The people at Alta are rude and unprofessional. Actally, come to find out they don't care for animals as much as they do for money, my dog got hit by a car this morning and not only did they refuse service cuz I didn't have $600 .00 for them, and they wouldn't even consider setting up a payment plan. You know what they did do. ... nothing sent my dog home with a hurt leg among who knows what else, but they did take my 200 dollars just too tell me I don't have enough money to have her treated. Very unhelpful and rude when I called during business hours near the end of the day to seek help for my dog who was very ill they were very uncaring. I was told it would be $159 to just be seen. I said I would pay it could I ask the vet whether to bring him in or not if his symptoms were related to his on going health issues or something new.Dr Burkman told the front office girl to tell me she was "unavailable".
