After reading the reviews I was very hopeful that Dr. Whitear was going to help me. After waiting over an hour to see her she came into the room and spoke to me for what felt like less then 10 minutes. She rushed through the exam and every question I had with very little sympathy or concern. Pushed birth control even though I told her I was absolutely not taking them since for me there were more side effects than benefits. I was left with quotes of “you just have sucky periods” and “I will not give you a hysterectomy because... read more

She is prideful and lacks any compassion. I think the other reviewers on here saw a different doctor. She prescribed the Lupron shot for my endometriosis. After getting the shot I had horrible side effects. I went in a week after the shot. I was in the deepest depression, my muscles hurt so bad I couldn’t stop crying, and I felt like I was having a heart attack. She told me she couldn’t take back the shot, to take and antidepressant and see a pcp when she is the one she gave me the shot.

Dr. Whitear is a sound surgeon. I chose her for my hysterectomy. My complaint is she has a horrible bed side manner. I strongly do not recommend her for this reason. I experienced absolute, excruciating pain after surgery and she told me to have a better attitude. Waking up from surgery at McKayDee is on my top 10 most horrifying experiences. Dr. Whitear being the one person in control that could have stopped my pain and I feel she just didn't care.

Absolutely worst health care experience from start to finish. It took 3 weeks to reach her scheduler. During the appointment she kept saying loudly & quickly Do you have more questions? I understand she wanted to make sure I got my questions out, but the manner she did it in made me feel very overwhelmed. When I did voice a concern about birth control and family breast cancer she dismissed it and acted as though it was a stupid question. She was very rough and painful during the exam.Never again

Be prepared to have everyone in the waiting room know your personal information as well as be able to steal your personal identify. You have to verbally give all the information to one of TWO receptionists. No writing down information like your social security number or the reason why you are there. Secondly, the wait itself - over 1 hour. Third, the 3rd degree screening by the Medical Assistant and finally, the Dr. herself. No compassion - no empathy. Go elsewhere. You've been warned!
