We've had positive experiences with Amerigas. *********** is responsive. Website is easy to use, best for placing orders. Text messages provided concerning order status. Price is typically lowest in our area.
I put in a request for a fill the beginning of the week and my tank was filled on Friday!Delivery was handled by *********************.He read my note requesting a call before delivery and actually called an hour before his arrival! He was kind, friendly and knew his job! We will use Americagas again and hope ***** remains our delivery person!
This review is for AmeriGas Maintenance Scheduling and Field Maintenance. ********* named **** initiated calls and answered calls for my questions. He was a highly professional, helpful, friendly individual. It turned out that my account was in a different service area from Seans. No problem, ********* ***** picked up the issue and responded by sending a very competent, communicative, and driven to do the right thing, person. One happy to serve technician named *****. ***** diagnosed the leak and took immediate action. He ra... read more
Getting to the right people to resolve an issue is a nightmare. Obviously the customer service is all overseas and/or they only hire people who speak minimal English. BUT - I will say once we got through that maze of human interaction (which took us over 2 weeks of calling), the local customer service people here in Jacksonville FL did an excellent job of quickly resolving our issue. Samantha, our customer service tech, immediately understood our problem and within minutes had our solution. Then Chris H. arrives and installs... read more
I called Amerigas this winter and asked them not to deliver my auto delivery. We only used our ski house twice this winter but had already been filled several times for well over $1,000. They agreed to not fill it, but then filled it and billed us for over $500. When I called, the agent said "Oh no, I see you called. You won't be billed for that." And then I was not only billed still but also then received ANOTHER delivery for over $500. I've called their customer service line three times, all on different days of the week a... read more
I am filing this complaint against AmeriGas for engaging in deceptive and predatory billing practices. Following their acquisition of my previous local provider, ************, the company has implemented a pattern of stacking duplicate fees to maximize revenue from departing legacy customers.I recently closed my account (Account #********** and requested the removal of their leased propane tank. On my final bill ******** #*******), AmeriGas double-billed me for a single technician visit on April 6, 2026, by stacking a $119.9... read more
I am a new customer who purchased a home with a previously leased Amerigas tank. I called to set up a new lease account and paid $250 to establish the account. My tank was almost empty upon setting up the account. ********************** came out to do their "safety check" and confirmed I will need a new tank in approximately six months. They then scheduled the tank to be refilled the following business day. However, the tech who came to fill the tank said he could not complete the job and that whoever performed the "safety c... read more
I have been an AmeriGas customer since 2006 and to say that anything they offer is customer service is an absolute joke. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The only reason I stuck with them for so long is because no other service was available to me in my area. Their per gallon amount is almost $2.50 higher than the company I just signed up with, and this is the rate for a customer who has been with them for literal decades. And to top it all off theyre charging a removal fee of $420. $121 of that fee is a dis... read more
Worst company and customer service. Was a customer for 13 years (way too long). This spring I was quoted $4.85 per gallon so I started calling around switched to a local company that charged me $1.88 per gallon. Called Amerigas to come pick up their empty tank (this actually took 4 phone calls, two emails, an online chat, and about 90 minutes of gold time on the phone) and they are charging me a pick up fee of $420. If you move into a house with an Amerigas tank, switch immediately
