I paid for a propane refill in my off the grid cabin in Orofino Idaho and have been talking to at least a dozen service people to be able to arrange giving directions to the truck driver as well as private gate information. This morning I called to report the hideous smell of gas in our garage as we just found out our propane is at a dangerously low amount. The fumes in the gas intensify as the gas becomes low in the tank. We asked for a fill and to check the gas line in the garage. After finally having a good experience with a great area representative, and having a tank installed by a very professional and customer oriented installation person, I was then Overcharged by almost $200, been calling for almost 2 months about having the money refunded and not one Customer Service Person can get this done for me?? Had an emergency delivery made due to the valve leaking all the propane out on the tank. For an emergency delivery you pay for the propane upfront. We have been fighting them billing us for this balance for the last several months. They have now sent this to collections and still no credit for the payment made nor a credit for the propane that we lost due to their tank. Thats issue 1. Worst Company ever. Even after leaving they still send bills each month for a service never used. If you have time read this. Started with Commonwealth Propane in 1992, very good company, they stopped delivering and Amerigas started. I thought they bought them out. I again set up auto payment for Amerigas. They are suddenly charging us $81/mo despite no authorization to do so, a call directing them to stop, and the fact they have provided no gas or service to us.
True worst company ever, started charging double tank rental, I had my tank removed with 40 gallons of propane STILL in it for which i paid almost 5 dollars a gallon. Have not received a credit for. Still keep charging for the tank rental every month AND a late charge as well' STAY AWAY like the plague, these people are not reputable.
I responded to mailing for new customer savings for propane tank refill. They said they needed to check for leaks first. They said I needed to have them dig holes next to underground tank and drop magnesium bags down holes to prevent tank from rusting. They would do this for $800. Never will do business again with Amerigas. I called to have my tank filled with promotional fee of $1.79 per gallon. I stated to her that I do not want any extra fees and she said there will not be any. I also inquired about how to get my money back if my tank did not use all that much propane, she said I could call and get a refund once the propane was delivered.
