If I could give a negative star I would. Amerigas let elderly people on auto refill run out of propane during winter weather. We were unable to use our heat, our gas stove or are gas fireplace. When we attempted to call we were placed on hold for hours. We were promised deliveries that never came. Terrible customer service. Very disappointing.

0 stars. Every time I need to interact with this company, it is more unpleasant than the previous time. I have had to repeat the same information to 3 or 4 different people all for them to realize they cant help me and need to send me to someone else and start the whole process over. I have sat on hold for 30 minutes to an hour each time I call. There is no urgency to help in emergencies and they do not care about their customers. They cant give you any window of time or day that they will show up and they believe that letti... read more

Been a customer of ********************** for 5 years. Requested delivery through online portal when 500 gallon tank was 20 percent full on 1/24. We ran out of gas 1/31. Been calling every day trying to get tank filled but call center uninterest in helping. Still do not have a firm delivery date today 2/3. Temperatures below freezing every day. Will never do business with Amerigas again.

I had called and spoke to AmeriGas emergency line requesting critical life safety heating propane fill due to being at 5% with less than a day of heating. I was told the district is shut down due to hazardous weather conditions and the soonest they could fill will be 02/09/2026-02/16/2026. I am not surprised by the low rating that AmeriGas has received here. They bought out a local gas company and immediately ran it into the ground. I called to schedule a tank refill, the call center in ***** (apparently) gave me a 3-day window of when it would happen. They stated that I would receive an email the day prior, I did receive the email, but they were a no-show on the "scheduled" day of delivery @ $3.49 a gallon. I am canceling my account with ********************** due to extremely poor customer service and unfair billing practices. When I initially signed up, I was never charged a tank rental fee, yet out of nowhere AmeriGas began charging $118 per year and refused to waive it. I have two accounts with them at the same property, and they are now attempting to charge rental fees for three tanks without any prior agreement. I paid $1,700 for urgent propane delivery because I needed gas immediately. ************ took my money almost instantly, then canceled the delivery without notifying me at all.I went three full days without gas because of this. No call. No email. No explanation.Since then, I have:Been unable to get anyone on the phone Not received my refund Been told I cant even cancel until tomorrow, despite the fact that no gas was ever delivered

I have been a customer for several years and have never received such horrible customer service as I did recently. We ran out of propane and was willing to pay the emergency fee and the refused. I do not recommend this business at all.
