Amerigas does not deliver when they say they will. If you call and need a immediate refill they don't arrive until 2 weeks later. They want you to pay 300 for an emergency refill and say they will deliver the same day but when you pay for the emergency delivery they then tell you they will come in 24 hours. Bad company
They lied and charged us an outstanding amount. Sent people to our house and charged us without us knowing. Charged us over 10 late fees while I was paying it . DO NOT go with this company . Every person we talked to was rude and didnt help with anything. We even threatened legal route because of them lying and charging us at their fault.

Fraud. Late. Bad customer service. I've had a bad experience from the start with this company. But by far this is the worst:6 Months after I moved out, they sent me an early termination fee; I didn't think there was an early termination fee. A typical service contract for oil/propane is typically 'keep the area clear or we won't deliver' sort-of-deal. So I reviewed the service contract and it states the fee is for leased equipment. Horribly overpriced, double the price of most other local vendors. Poor customer service. Purchased by ********************** and no longer a local business. You'll regret bringing your business to them.
AMERIGAS does not look out for their customers. I moved into my home, with an existing/installed AG owned propane tank. I requested their ************ and they filled it with propane, and I immediately paid all invoices. However, AG would not unlock the tank for use because they said their tank was improperly installed (location). AG should have inspected and informed me of issues BEFORE filling the tank. We just received an invoice from Amerigas located in ***********, ** charging $4.55 per gallon of propane. According to research the average cost of a gallon of propane in ************************* and the State of Missouri is currently $1.98. I immediately called the Amerigas customer service number and was told "********************** pricing is at the discretion of the company and they do not base their pricing on what other area companies sell propane for". Worst company in history, we have been trying sine May 2025 to get amerigas to fix a leak. over ************************************************************************* within 48 hours. I was promised a call back at least 6 times, I was promised priority escalation, not of it ever happened.
The house i purchased in 2025 had a propane tank from Amerigas. Needing the tank filled for winter i called Amerigas to fill it. The tank was filled. The tank is extremely old, the amerigas delivery man said he never saw that type of tank. Also a service man from Amerigas was here to attach a device from them to read the level of propane in the tank. He also commented on how old the tank is.
