Worst business I have ever encountered.Now they quoted 2000.00 to buy tank while we are still waiting on refill using 3 electric heaters to stay warm,so we won’t be empty when they finally show up and have to pay another fee.By the way,called in order when tank was at 30.Any ideas on how to get free from them.same thing happened last year.
this is the worst company ever... their service awful and the lied more than 4 times stating the deliveries would be made that day and they never arrived....
Time and time again, Amerigas and their call center's have failed us. I'm even a GenX, and I cannot stand their call center process. On 1/22; my wife and I simultaneously called as she could not get through. She is the account holder. Her phone call dropped, mine stayed on. During the call, they asked for the authorized user. My wife took my phone and said her name, and said that I can be an authorized user. Apparently, though a simple process, that was not done. I recently placed an order for propane with Amerigas. After waiting a full week after they said they would have it out to me, I called a call center somewhere on the other side of the world. I canceled the delivery and was told the first time that only a credit to my account could be appropriated, then got transferred to the billing department to get disconnected several times because they "couldn't hear me". I would give them zero stars if possible and would encourage anyone who still has Amerigas as their propane provider to switch. Here are my complaints over 2 years of having them as my provider before switching. 1. They charge at least $.70 more per gallon then other providers in my area. 2. The charge $25 in extra fees on every delivery that other providers do not charge. 3. During January 2022 and January 2023 my tank got so low that they had to come out for an emergency delivery even though I was set for auto-deliveries. ... read more
Again... My delivery was supposed to be 2 days ago I am about to run out of gas . This happened to me too 12/24/22 no hotwater and couldn't cook for Christmas I had to flag down a driver and he was coming from MIAMI......to my neighbor hood no drivers I thought the holidays was over .Now they said it will be here tomorrow I have zero....faith my delivery was due on the 22nd
AmeriGas is the biggest fraudster gas company I have ever seen. We have been without gas for 3 days now. Paid the expedited fee, for no reason because it has still been 3 days. Have been made multiple promises to come fill it and then no one shows after I miss an entire day of work for no reason. I cannot wait for them to come fill this tank and I cancel my service. If I could zero stars I would. I have been a custom for 10+ years with Amerigas. The last 2 years (ever since they got rid of all my local branches) I get charged for “not filling my tank enough” an it’s also been the second year in a row that I scheduled a January delivery, received a delivery date and they have not shown up. I was charged double the going rate for a fill in November 2023. When i called the local number to ask why i was directed to someone in another country who can't speak good English and was no help in resolving my problem. They went on to say I had signed a contract to lock in a price. I did not sign anything or agree to this and we don't even have a local office near us.
