I tried to leave 0 starts but, that is not possible. This is a horrible company when it comes to customer service and logistics. They committed to relocate my tank TWICE which I received confirmation texts/emails for and both times they did not show up and I did not receive a call as to why. Continued to run out of fuel when told I was on auto fill. Couldnt help when out of propane during emergency. Changed to new provider and got a bill for $455 for tank pickup Hidden cost. Took them over a year to pick up the tank and then outrageous bill for pickup
Amerigas complaint Contacted them to buy the propane tank that I currently lease. After talking to three different people, the answer was no. Stated that they do not sell any tank above 240 gallons. This is a false statement. Other statement is that they are not selling their assets at this time. Another false statement. This email serves as a former complaint to your company for ongoing issues with getting a delivery to our familys home for a gas refill. After a missed delivery date we called to follow up and spent several hours on hold to be told there was a flag to our account that there was a pause on delivery. We had not received any prior notice to make us aware. No email no call no letter not anything regarding this hold due to a potentially serious issue. I wish I could give them a negative star rating because thats what they deserve. We Purchased a home that already had an amerigas tank. Called around for pricing and found a company much cheaper than AmeriGas called this morning to stop service and have someone come and pick up the tank and they charge $199 for a disconnection fee and $199 to come and pick up the tank. We have used Amerigas on and off for our propane needs over the years. Overall, they have maintained competitive gas prices. However, in July of this year, we felt they took total advantage of us. We suspected a gas leak at our owned tank. We had purchased the tank from a company that Amerigas had previously purchased. We called, and they promptly sent a representative to test for a leak and fix it if needed. There was a leak, and the representative replaced a regulator in two hours. Unfortunately I cannot rate them zero stars. The absolute worst customer service! And to make matters worse, they really do NOT care! Wait times are are often 1 hour plus to speak to a representative. Nobody can resolve anything, They will transfer you for additional wait times and you can almost bet on a dropped call on a transfer, to only have to do it all over again. Run don't walk. Do not do business with AMERIGAS. After 25 years of dedicated business with Amerigas, finding out they were charging 2 times more per gallon for propane, than local provider, we requested our account closed. They won't give the customer credit for fuel in tank already paid them and now want $419.00+ some cents to pick up their old dated tank at residence at their convenience. This Company takes advantage of consumer basic needs with outrageous fees and charges. If you report smelling gas they will come out shut your gas off without detecting where the leak originated In my case, it was my neighbor who was experiencing a leak. And then charge you a $200 reconnect fee. There is a monthly rental fee you pay for their equipment topped with a over $200 fee they charge for picking up their own tank.
