We've had positive experiences with Amerigas. *********** is responsive. Website is easy to use, best for placing orders. Text messages provided concerning order status. Price is typically lowest in our area.
I put in a request for a fill the beginning of the week and my tank was filled on Friday!Delivery was handled by *********************.He read my note requesting a call before delivery and actually called an hour before his arrival! He was kind, friendly and knew his job! We will use Americagas again and hope ***** remains our delivery person!

Getting to the right people to resolve an issue is a nightmare. Obviously the customer service is all overseas and/or they only hire people who speak minimal English. BUT - I will say once we got through that maze of human interaction (which took us over 2 weeks of calling), the local customer service people here in Jacksonville FL did an excellent job of quickly resolving our issue. Amerigas is a SCAM! If I could leave less than a one star rating I would. Amerigas is a horrible company to deal with. We have been a customer and paid rental fees for 19 years. Our tank leaked over the winter. Their technician never fixed it and we lost all our propane. We decided to cancel our service with Amerigas. Then they charged us $88.86 for rent, $145.00 for the technician to pick up the tank and $300.00 to remove the tank that could not be used since it leaked. Amerigas is a SCAM! Do not buy from them. I do not recommend this company at all. They bought the gas company we were using so we continued with them. The gauge on our tank was broken for two years and we were promised it would be fixed "on the next visit". A local company started selling propane so we switched. We were sent a final bill which did not account for the rental fee we had paid. I tried to call and email to ask about it. It took two months for someone to respond to my several email inquiries. I am filing a complaint regarding an unexpected $300 charge from AmeriGas.Due to a higher-than-normal gas bill, we contacted our landlord, who mentioned they might reach out to AmeriGas to request a service visit. You really need to track how much propane you have in your tank if you are set up for auto delivery. They continually come to deliver propane when I dont need it. They sent me an email last night 7:45 pm saying they were coming today to fill so I called them and I cant cancel the delivery because its en route and I have currently 60% full propane tank there is no reason for a fill this has been happening a lot over the last 2 years as Ive been tracking my fills and they are suppose to come when you are between 20-30% it seem... read more
Horrible customer service (2+ hours on hold) and ridiculously expensive ($127 fee) to cancel an unused service (pool heater propane) and have them collect their empty propane tank. This was a small tank that I rolled to my driveway for their driver to pick up and was charged $300 bucks for removal! $427 total just to end the service. What a scam...good riddance!
