I am not surprised by the low rating that AmeriGas has received here. They bought out a local gas company and immediately ran it into the ground. I called to schedule a tank refill, the call center in ***** (apparently) gave me a 3-day window of when it would happen. They stated that I would receive an email the day prior, I did receive the email, but they were a no-show on the "scheduled" day of delivery @ $3.49 a gallon. I cancelled the delivery and checked in to a local gas company. The local company brought me a new tank... read more

I paid $1,700 for urgent propane delivery because I needed gas immediately. ************ took my money almost instantly, then canceled the delivery without notifying me at all.I went three full days without gas because of this. No call. No email. No explanation.Since then, I have:Been unable to get anyone on the phone Not received my refund Been told I cant even cancel until tomorrow, despite the fact that no gas was ever delivered

I am canceling my account with ********************** due to extremely poor customer service and unfair billing practices. When I initially signed up, I was never charged a tank rental fee, yet out of nowhere AmeriGas began charging $118 per year and refused to waive it. I have two accounts with them at the same property, and they are now attempting to charge rental fees for three tanks without any prior agreement. I have been a customer for several years and have never received such horrible customer service as I did recently. We ran out of propane and was willing to pay the emergency fee and the refused. I do not recommend this business at all.

If there was a negative 5 star, that would be my choice. I called Amerigas 3 days prior to winter storm fern to request propane. I spoke to ******* in ***** -- yes, ****** "*****' in ***** assured me that I had enough gas to make it 18 days. She miraculously was able to tell me this about my tank level, my use etc from *****! As I sit here this morning in a house at 50 degrees because we ran out of propane over the weekend, well, I won't go into that rant. I would not use Amerigas!!!! Worst Company EVER!!! My tenant has been trying for weeks to have the service turned on in southern California and Amerigas Keeps cancelling the appointments because they are so ignorant that they don't know what service they are supposed to be providing. Yes, that sounds insane but it's true! They told my tenants that they don't know what type of service they need to turn on. BTW, we just moved last month and had the service turned off so the tenants could turn it on in their names. This company does not have one competent ... read more

Zero stars. Amerigas has closed local offices and abandoned residential delivery services in the area (southeast *******) but are still stringing customers along falsely promising delivery and not showing. Prior to 2025 I was able to have propane delivered yearly to run my gas heaters in my home in ***** zip code. In Feb 2025 I requested a delivery through the online myamerigas account as previously done. ONE STAR is too generous. This company has ******** customer service! Delivery doesn't happen when they say. My emergency fill, in the middle of winter in ******, NEVER HAPPENED. No email. No phone call. No text. Their "customer service" is still over seas despite an email sent to customers saying they were changing that. You can't reach ANYONE in the company. WHY HAVE YOU GIVEN THEM AN A-? Seriously? If you're unsure of a company, if they won't respond to your requests, a "C" at best. But these people need an "F"!

On 1/23/26 I got a text saying our delivery would arrive in a few days. Fast forward to 1/30/26 I get a text saying its arriving tomorrow. So today 1/31/26 I get a text saying my driveway is not accessible and they need to reschedule. They estimated our level at 20%, were at ZERO! I called, got some foreigner who I can barley understand who says best she can do is tomorrow maybe. We had to shut our furnace off in hopes we dont run out completely tonight.
