They merit a ZERO. They are the worst company that I've ever dealt with. I closed my account with them in January 2024. Still having issues in Sept 2024, and I finally paid them their ridiculous tank-removal fee of $300 (which I was disputing) just to finally get them out of my life. What a lot of stress they have caused over the last few years - poor delivery service, bad billing policy, etc. THEY ARE THE WORST!
I recently became the owner of a home with a buried propane tank and the previous owner had a deal with Amerigas (the tank is leased from them), so I have to use Amerigas. When I scheduled a delivery, I was not informed someone had to do a safety check first, and that they dont do deliveries on the same day as a safety check, so I took a day off work for nothing. Customer Service--REALLY!??! To date, I have now called SIX times to attempt to schedule adding another line to my, unfortunate, current service; HOWEVER, the first three times, I was unable to successfully communicate with the representative, due to a language barrier. Amerigas enticed me to switch to their service by offering a no charge pressure/system safety assurance test. After I agreed to switch and received propane fill up, I received a $319.99 bill for the safety assurance test. Ive spent combined hours on the phone with customer service and they refuse to remove the charge, saying that I was given false information. Stay clear of Amerigas!
0 STARS.. It should be a Crime the way this company continues to do business. After paying I waited 3+ weeks and still was without propane.which meant No hot water, No heat, and No cooking . After numerous phone calls and given the runaround I had No choice but to switch to a different company. Amerigas is the worst propane company. They charged us for an entire pressure regulator when they just provided a cap that the repair guys lost when checking our gas pressure. We tried repeatedly to get the charge reversed with no luck. We emailed them several times, sent two letters and actually went to the office, but they dont allow walk-ins post COVID. Very frustrating. How can you run a business this way?!?! We will never use Amerigas again.
After being a customer for 20 years, the decline in *********************** I feel relieved to be able to close my account even at my expense to have their tank picked up. I will NOT be recommending Amerigas.
They scam and cheat people! They come out , fill your tank every month when you tell them you will call in for service, they come anyway and you end up with a 1.500.00 dollar Bill! They have horrible customer service! They will not let you get ahold of him to stop service! 10 stars for Horrible Service.Negative 5 stars!
Very poor customer service. Appointment today to pick up 3 tanks never came. No phone call notifications why. When originally set tanks did not meet regulations were not ******************************** generator were placed under wooden deck. After reading reviews I do not have much hope getting refund for my unused propane if and when they ever come get my tanks. Wish an attorney would read these complaints and file class action law suit. I do no have funds to hire attorney on my own 0 stars
