0 Stars, just like everyone else you get the run around on the phone when you can actually understand what there saying, We were with a local company who was great you call and talk to real person who lives local. (old company was ***** gas) AmeriGas bought them out. Its been a nightmare ever since. i switch companies a long time ago now my daughter is trying to get away from them as well. They are getting 1 star because I am unable to give them less. We canceled our service because their charges continue to rise. Their driver did not pick up all of their tanks when he came. I informed them that they had tanks still here and if they didn't want them we would put them in the dumpster. They choose to pick them up and charged us for a service call. I ran out of gas because I received email bills and my email was compromised so I did not receive the last 2 bills for monthly tank rental. I am on a "keep full" basis so I typically do not have to worry about running out of gas. We did run out of gas because I hadn't paid 2 months of tank rental, and I received no phone calls or text that I had overdue payments. Amerigas is the biggest rip-off, con artist company in operation. This company deserves a big fat ZERO STARS for the lack of customer service and ****************************. We cancelled our AmeriGas accounts several years ago after long hours on hold and running out of propane, and never reaching anyone to accept our order. We contacted another company and are very happy with prompt service. Almost two years ago we sold the business and property. We warned the new owner regarding our unfortunate experience with AmeriGas and their unscrupulous business practices. Used Amerigas for a delivery one month ago. Ask them not to deliver again I only need refill every year or so. A truck showed up today wanting to deliver 300 gallons of gas that I did not order. I was told to use the app. Spent over half an hour on the phone using the app they told me to call, I called the number they told me to enter the reason for my call. Please stay away from this gas company. Rented a 250 gallon tank and had it filled in 2022. Called to have it refilled in July of 2024. Cannot speak to anyone local on the phone. They advised refill of the rental tank would take 7-10 business days and the driver would have to perform a leak inspection test. Two weeks later a delivery driver showed up, filled the tank and left within 15 minutes. Received and invoice for $1300.00, 178 gallons at $6.41/gal plus addition service fees. I am very displeased with Amerigas. On April 4 a driver came to fill tanks on an autofill order. He informed me the tanks that I rent from them was too old and can not be refilled. Was told a service technician would come and exchange tanks. Since then the delivery driver has returned twice and got the same message. We have called the local office several times with promises of coming today but never always a no show. My gate is unlocked reducing protection of property so they can work. If I could leave a review with zero stars I would. $250 tank rental if you don't buy min gas, then I closed my account and it took them over 9 months to remove their tank so that racked up another $250 because it ran into the next year. Horrible customer service. The only way you talk to someone directly associated with them is when you become a new customer, after that everything goes through a call center.
