I am very displeased with Amerigas. On April 4 a driver came to fill tanks on an autofill order. He informed me the tanks that I rent from them was too old and can not be refilled. Was told a service technician would come and exchange tanks. Since then the delivery driver has returned twice and got the same message. We have called the local office several times with promises of coming today but never always a no show. My gate is unlocked reducing protection of property so they can work. First time customer as we bought a house with an inground amerigas tank. ****** came to fill it and couldn't due to us having pods in the way so he made note that he delivered 0 gallons and left. I got a bill for the delivery of 300 gallons, I called immediately and was told I had to wait two days for it to post on their side before they could do anything. If I could leave a review with zero stars I would. $250 tank rental if you don't buy min gas, then I closed my account and it took them over 9 months to remove their tank so that racked up another $250 because it ran into the next year. Horrible customer service. The only way you talk to someone directly associated with them is when you become a new customer, after that everything goes through a call center.
AmeriGas is HORRIBLE, DO NOT ever get their residential service. They hide charges. Maybe getting paper invoices would show those charges but they are not available to be found online signing into my account. I've been trying to get my credit of almost $600 back for 5 weeks. My first call was June 3rd. In addition to get $600 over billing back, I'm waiting for them to pickup my three tanks and give me credit for the propane in the tanks. Absolutely the worst company I have EVER dealt with. Ordered propane November 1, 2023. Received a text of delivery November 7th stating they delivered 234 gallons into my tank. Since my tank is a 250 gallon with 28%, that was physically impossible. Billed me $750 for this, so I contacted them via the Emergency Phone number, since the **************** personnel had absolutely no idea what they were doing. This is the worst of the worst bottom feeders. They will lie to over and over. **************** is women over in a third world country. They lied so many times to me and left me hanging in the middle of winter with no heat. I beleive it was February our main line sprung a leak coming out of the regulator. Amerigas is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Tried to do Zero stars. When I signed up with them 20 yrs. ago, they had a local facility. At some point that was closed and everything was handled on-line. There was no phone number to call. If you needed gas you had to go to their website and look at the little icon of your gas gage. I used gas for my fireplace and it was out of commission for almost a year and it was close to being empty since I hadn't ordered any during that time. Amerigas is a major scammer, they have so many complaints it's hard to believe they are in business under any name, they have exaggerated our gas bill charges and after 4 long phone calls requesting a breakdown of charges on paper, they still have not sent that, they inflate their quotes for service and product by scamming over the phone and should be investigated to the hilt.
I placed an order with amerigas for propane. They gave me a week window for delivery. I had requested that they call before going to deliver due to someone having to be home. Im a single mom who works alot. It's clearly stated in the text they sent me confirming my order that i will be called in advance. They delivered without calling me and locked out my tank so i cant use it.
