Mrs. Animal Dental center has a branch in Annapolis where both my Yorkies have been treated. My 2 pound Yorkie had a dental abcess with jaw fractures and we would have soon lost her. She is running around again with her quack quack again and very healthy. My other 3 pound Yorkie Mia was also treated there by Dr. Luskin and needed her teeth cleaned and her lower canines reinforced. She is doing wonderful as well and as he recommended I brush her teeth daily and use apply oravet to her gum line weekly. I know they are pricey b... read more

a fantastic dog dentist We have 2 very old Boston Terriers. One is 16 and the other 14 years old. We were very worried about having them put under anesthesia. In addition, Pugsley has back issues that could have been worsened by any surgery if not handled appropriately. Dr Luskin and his staff did an amazing job. They were very upfront about the risks involved and were very specific about the precautions they would take during the surgery to minimize any disturbances to Pugsley's back. They did a fantastic job and I'm so gla... read more

Great Place! I cannot speak highly enough about this facility. After going through a traumatic experience with another vet, the Dental Center took a look at my cat with a jaw injury. Dr. Stein and the other technicians and vets took as much time as was necessary to explain to me everythig associated with the proceedires, recovery and cost. I was impressed that each time I called I was not put on hd and was promptly transferred to either Dr. Stein or someone else who had dealt directly with my cat. The facility is clean and t... read more

My beagle needs mouth surgery! I had to visit the Animal Dental Center recently when my beagle, Gwinnie, had a growth on her gum. Her veterinarian had removed it previously, and it quickly grew back. Not knowing how exactly to treat this possibly cancerous growth, they referred me to the Animal Dental Center. When Gwinnie and I arrived at the Animal Dental Center, we were very impressed with the staff. Gwinnie was quite nervous, as any beagle would be, but Miss Kendal the veterinary tech was patient with her. Dr.Luskin then ... read more

1.9 lb. Lil Dude Cleft Palate My Chihuahua, Lil Dude was born with a Cleft Palate. Dr. Luskin explain everything and even showed pictures of surgeries and explained all the risk also. On August 13, 2010 (Lil Dude weighed 1.9 pounds) he had his surgery. He developed some problems because he didn't want to eat and his sugar level kept dropping. He ended up in the emergency room in Bel Air for 5 days. I contacted Dr. Luskin who in turn contacted the hospital every day and kept in touch with me every day. Dr. Luskin is a vet who... read more

Successful Cleft Palate Repair Sixteen years ago, I took my 2yr old cat Piglet to see Dr. Luskin. When I got her as a kitten, she had a large cleft palate in her mouth. She had already had 5 unsuccessful surgeries to correct it. (Three surgeries by her regular vet, and two surgeries by a veterinary orthopedic surgeon.) It was recommended to me by the orthopedic surgeon to take her to see the veterinary dental specialist, Dr. Ira Luskin. I did not want to give up on Piglet. She had already had a rough start, she was "dumped" ... read more

Specialized pet dental care the way it should be My husband and I recently visited the Animal Dental Center at their Towson location for our 1-year old Boston Terrier Cricket. We were referred there by our general vet after she took a look in our little girl 's mouth and suggested we had a specialist do an evaluation. As we later learned, Boston Terriers, as a breed, are highly prone to impacted teeth, and in our case Dr. Luskin needed to surgical extract 2 teeth in the lower jaw that had formed cysts in the jaw. Would those... read more
