About this business

About Us In 1995, Sheri Fastenrath, DVM identified the need for an emergent care facility for owners and their pets in the Huntsville area. Unfortunately, there were not many overnight emergency options for medical treatment in the surrounding area. In response to that need, Dr. Fastenrath and other local veterinarians formed a committee to lay the plans for what would become the Animal Emergency Clinic of N AL. The response from the community was so overwhelming that many of the area veterinarians also came aboard ... read more

AECC met my dog’s urgent medical need with compassion and efficiency. They were patient with my decision, and quick to execute a plan. All of the options were explained well and the team communicated with professionalism. They allowed us to keep Jay with us and he is recovering well!

Absolutely saved my girls life! The staff was patient and helpful and so friendly while we were losing our minds worrying. They answered our calls as we checked on her during surgery long before they were done. I cannot thank them enough for giving us more time with our girl! She wouldnt be laying on our bed if it werent for them!

Amazing staff from Naomi, to Hannah to the Dr. They all get an A+ in my estimation. The facility was exceptionally clean and seemed very organized. My bill was astronomical and felt the markups on some of the meds/procedures were too high.

I brought her in and they made me feel like I made the right choice to bring her in. Not once did I feel judgement or like I was wasting their time. They were so good with her and very attentive to her even with other animals being brought in, in a more serious condition. I appreciate everything y’all do every time, from one Eme... read more

We brought out German Shepherd in for not eating. They were wonderful working with her and admitting her. Communication was great, they kept me updated along the way with both good and bad news. I also saw them deal with other emergencies while we were there. They were so compassionate and thorough.
