We got a freeform pool with a spa from Anthony & Sylvan and chose them on their reputation. I like the geometry of the pool and I enjoy utilizing it and entertaining family and friends. The salesman was extremely helpful.
I love the outdoors, having friends over and enjoying and spending time at the pool. I wanted one for many years and when I was doing some research on the computer, I came across Anthony & Sylvan. They responded and got back with us through the computer, then I got a new saltwater pool with a spa. We went through about three project managers as we were building the pool and they were all good. We had some miscommunication with the second one and things got delayed on account of that but that was the only problem we've had.
We just went into a new home so we moved in last year and knew we were going to put a pool in it. One of my clients, a financial adviser, had gotten a pool through Anthony & Sylvan and had referred them to us. My pool is freeform and it has a spa. We're on a sloping lot that feeds to the lake so it's got several different levels to it. My favorite thing about my pool is the aesthetics of it. We have been waiting a couple of months for someone to come out so that they can determine where our pool is leaking. The lady in the office has contacted us, but she cannot get the person that services the pool to even call us! They also charged a lot of money for a pool inspection that I ONLY have the inspectors word that it was done. I just don't believe them at this point. Love the pool HATE their service providers. My wife works for a home builder in the Carolinas, and she was referred to Anthony & Sylvan by one of her customers. Having one was largely motivated by my wife having grown up with having a pool. We met with two other companies but A&S was the only company that recognized and addressed the serious drainage problem in our backyard. Hired them as a VIP service contract. Paid premium dollar - got below average service. Often time missed cleaning leaves out of the pool, and had 8 weeks of constant algae blooms. Requested a replacement of a broken Oxygenator unit- requested service 4 x in calls, 2x in writing- never fixed. Service was great 3yrs ago- slipped in 2013, and fell of the cliff in 2014.
Do yourself a favor and choose Sylvan for your new pool or spa. I did an insane amount of research before choosing them. It truly paid off. Talk to others that have gone with other (cheaper) companies and you will see (& hear) the price difference. Anthony & Sylvan coordinated the pool design, and installation for the low chlorine ozone concrete pool. I love the fact that it's right in my backyard. My sales professional did a fantastic job of understanding what it was that we were going for, and from designing the finished product from what truly was a dirt lock. While the sales process and the design process were great, there was a bit of a disconnect with the communication throughout the project.
