Arbor Terrace is a brand new facility, so it looks more like an upscale modern hotel. Some activities they had prior to COVID were organized outings they would take to the farmers market, and other bus trips. They also had arts and crafts, book clubs, movie nights and yoga. Pre COVID our loved one really enjoyed the food, however at the moment they are having to eat in their rooms so the quality of the food has declined a little. My mom has been living here for almost a year and she loves it. She enjoys all the activities and claims the food is amazing with good portions. The management team and staff are extremely kind and helps as much as they can although they are often busy. The nurses are so kind to her, they treat her just like family. My mom loves the library and the movie room.
Nice location. Price is much higher than the others here, including the Arbor Terrace in Lanham
Really nice! New, clean, welcoming, friendly, lots of floor plans, meal choices, activities. [Name removed] was very easy to talk to and helpful.
My mother was there for over three years and the level of care continued to decline as she needed more care. Medications were messed up and left laying on the floor (more than once); feces was not cleaned up on bedding (more than once); rather than attend to her incontinence issues, they would double up her Depends. I rate all categories as a 5 with the exception of item 5, meals/dining. My mom does not care for the taste of the food at dinner. She loves the oatmeal at breakfast, lunch is OK, but I think dinners don't have enough flavor for her. She says it just doesn't taste good. The other thing I will point out is their laundry service. Laundry does not come back folded properly and is very wrinkled. They also don't treat stains. Despite us telling them that our mother needed her Parkinson's medications religiously on time, they gave it to her 2 1/2 hours late and she really suffered. Their response time was disgraceful. My mother waiting an hour to 40 minutes whenever she buzzed for help. I would never recommend Arbor Terrace unless your loved one is very independent.
