My tour guide was very personable and thorough in showing the property and answering all questions. The outdoor space and grounds are very impressive and inviting. The model apartment is the most well designed and functional of any I’ve visited. Plenty of storage space. Staff is nice and professional Maintenance staff is nice, professional, and available Building is clean and pretty Studio apt is a nice size Lots of activities from which to choose The food is often very good, sometimes it is not very good, I also would like healthier choices.
Great atmosphere here at Asher Point. The one bedroom and two bedroom apartments are spacious. The remodeling is complete. We have a new activity director. The activities I've been a part of have always been fun. Currently the elevator isn't working in this two story independent living facility.
I found the facilities clean, the food average, the dining experience clean and efficient. I would recommend this community to others who are currently searching.
The food is awful per my mother. You have to pay for the food service even if you don't eat the food. The location is nice. Her apartment has full size kitchen and a walk in tub. All the suites have been updated. My mom loves the personnel there and her community friends.
Asher Point cost a little more than other places we looked at but they provide meals 3 times per day 7 days a week. They have been under going a refresh or remodeling of the facility. The place is very clean. All people are very friendly and the food is good. The ONLY less than perfect aspect is we have had a little problem with the billing. The staff are all are helpful and thoughtful doing anything they can for us. The surroundings are clean and pleasant most of the time and this building is really pretty if you have never seen it. All in all it's a really good place to call Home! One problem is the Alarm System another is the lack of a Security Staff. Also, it's hard to cook a meal when you have guests as the sinks are "Bar Sinks", too small to do many dishes never mind pots and pans and the cook tops require special pans to cook on them! A perfect 5 in ALL 8 categories! My mom has a young lady who cleans her room weekly, she's Puerto Rican, like my mother! The staff Director & her Assistant have both helped me (above & beyond the call of duty) when my mom had issues with her Cell phone! The meals are truly gourmet - she eats for lunch what I prepare for dinner! Lots of convenient amenities, right on her floor: Laundry, Salon, Church services; transportation services; & best of all: the Field trips, especially during the Holidays! ;)
This has to be one of the best community that I have visited. I was so impressed with how happy the residents are. Their joy has to come from the staff on down Everyone was amazing.
