The Troy Ohio office and staff were very helpful with my issue. The call center for Aspen dental was helpful but deceiving in how they explained the out of network patient financing. I was told by the call center that my visit would be of no cost to me but that was not the case. The consult visit cost me $289.00, which I was not prepared for since I had been told by the call center it was not going to cost me anything. I have had a lot of dental work done at the Troy Aspen Dental office, and I have been extremely pleased with the entire staff. Everyone has been kind, courteous, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They strive to make me feel comfortable and relaxed, and I am very pleased with the results of the dental work.
Receptionist is kind but not very helpful when asking insurance questions and couldn't help point me in the right direction to find the info needed. Hygienist and assistant were amazing processing me in and explaining their answers when I had questions. Dentist was very professional but quick to leave once the job is done. I'll never go to Aspen Dental again. The place was disgusting. The walls were not clean and the floors look like they haven't been mopped in years. And they put me in a chair to look at a brown wall, turned away from everything. Then the doctor was cold, impersonal, and to the point. He seemed to only care about making money. His secretaries didn't fare any better. Then as he was starting the extraction I could feel the pain and said so (and I think I have a pretty high tolerance for pain). I had been scheduled at the Troy location due to being the office with the soonest appointment. I am so glad that I was sent to the Troy office. Everyone was absolutely awesome and put my huge anxiety of being in that dental chair at ease. I can definitely say that Dr. Acker has by far the best 'chair side' manner I have seen. As a nurse, I could only wish that many medical doctors would have his personality. He explained everything he did beforehand and gave his honest opinion.
