I wish I read the community’s comments about Aspen Dental. I had a new patient appointment yesterday and was not happy at all. I asked for a cleaning only. But, Okay they’re going to talk me into X-rays I guess now that’s what they all do but after the X-rays, some scanning thing, and roughly 40min later I was led to the financial office where they quoted me a plan that would cost $700 for a special gum cleaning and regular cleaning!! I was not impressed. I came in to have a single tooth pulled; it took over two hours to get it done because they were more concerned with trying to sell me dentures. The dentist took a few minutes to look over my mouth, immediately recommended dentures and sent me to another room, where I had to wait 20 more minutes for them to talk over financing dentures with me (which I neither came in for nor had any desire to entertain). I won’t be going back. I needed a crown and knew that going in and told them when I made the appointment only to be told they don’t do crowns and wanted to charge me over $900 for mild conjunctivitis treatment. They referred me to a specialist for the crown and told me specialist don’t take insurance. X-ray lady was quite aggressive, she actually cut up the inside of my mouth a little by shoving the thing in there. I know they aren’t comfortable, but a little delicacy never hurt anybody. My 1st visit to Aspen Dental was a great experience. The entire staff were so pleasant and upbeat. The best part is I didn't have to wait longer then my appointment time. I also appreciated how they kept a clean work area by wiping it down after each patient. The entire visit was very impressive.
The staff are friendly. The lobby is a bit run down; chairs need to be replaced, painting etc. Based on their reputation I expected a "nicer" facility. Of course they couldn't do what I needed done. They went from a $409 estimate to over $4K in an effort to sell me a new product all without even checking whether or not this option would even work. So of course, I didn't agree and decided to schedule a consult. Maybe I will just keep looking...
