This morning, I had an emergency dental problem and needed to see a dentist ASAP. The last time I saw a dentist was ten years ago in Florida, and I had a number of chronic issues that I had ignored, in addition to the crisis that led me to call Aspen. Much to my surprise, I was told that I was able to schedule an appointment in 45 minutes, at no cost to me for the initial consultation, which included an exam and a full set of X-rays. Very helpful and easy to communicate with. Only $29 for a full set of X-rays and exam as advertised. The dentist gave me a thorough exam and laid out my treatment plan. The assistant office manager Andrea was absolutely lovely to talk to as she laid out the cost of all my upcoming visits and ran through cost options with their savings plan. I may not be going with them for my upcoming oral surgery but will highly consider them in the future!
I had mt first visit at Aspen Dental in Massapequa today to discuss getting dentures. I was nervous and embarrassed about the condition of my teeth. Everyone was so nice and non judgemental. It was the best dental experience I've ever had! At each step everything was clearly explained as it was happening. Actually looking forward to my next visit.

Complete scam. Wait for almost 2 hours to see the dentist. Forced to have "complementary" x-rays which are actually billed to and paid for by insurance. They are then used as a scare tactic to show you how much extensive work your teeth need, only it is not true. Then refuse to provide the images in a format another dentist could actually use. Price for services also change on a whim.

Place refused to acknowledge they had my insurance, didn't use it. When I said to use my insurance, they lied and said it wasn't in network (MetLife). When I confirmed it was in network they claimed it didn't cover anything. $327 for a cleaning that is fully covered was billed. I'm surprised there isn't a class action against this company. I'm owed money but am receiving bills. It's either incompetence or a scam, but surprise billing and lack of effort to use insurance is shocking from a company this size.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Was told they take my insurance. They called to confirm my appointment on a Tuesday. I got there on Wednesday and they told me they no longer take my insurance. I said as of when? They said "Yesterday" (aka TUESDAY WHEN THEY CONFIRMED MY APPOINTMENT). Wouldn't shock me if they did this to others. Walked right out. Did they really think I'd be like ah well I'm here let me stay?

Dont let the nice logo, and update facilities fool you. Just because this dentist office doesn't look like it hasn't been renovated since the 1970's, they are just as incompetent as any other dental office. I called, asking specifically if they take my insurance. Only to travel there on my lunch break to be told the doctor who performs root canals doesn't take any insurance. So I went with this place because I thought they were reputable. I learned it is as one person put it "a Cash Grab". Knowing it would be costly, I wanted dental work, but I felt nickel and dimed. We discussed all the work I would need. I went to the front to the "money grab" person and was given a quote of 16K. I asked if that included everything discussed. I was assured yes. Run for the hills - IT'S A CASH GRAB!!! It's unfortunate that the dentist is good - but he office and charges ARE INSANE. They handed me a bag with an electric toothbrush, toothpaste and a oral rinse - I asked how is this costing me and was told no it's a gift. I find my Statement and it cost me $211.00!!! When I called to ask them to take it off my bill they said it's part of my care plan and I signed that.
