I think most of the staff is fantastic. The dentist himself is great. I can see in other reviews that the common issue is the office manager, and I feel the same way as others. He's quite rude and cold, only seems to care about getting the money. I have insurance and always have money saved so I'm not sure why I have to pay upfront to make an appt now when I didn't the last two times? I still paid them both times? Office manager is very rude! I understand that there are proper steps that need o be taken, But, not allowing someone to leave and come but within the hour that the office was running late, is not ok when it’s for a good reason! I needed my tooth filed down and the office was running an hour behind, my friend who was with me, needed to be home to get her son off the bus, and I was told if I wanted it done I had to sit and wait! Apparently Aspen Dental had an issue with a cyber attack. I was NOT informed of this!!! They have been putting me off since the beginning of May since I had my initial visit with x-rays and a consult in the Thomaston Maine location in April. I made an $85.00 deposit for a cleaning. I received an email saying they were having issues with their system, but they were ready for my appointment. I went in and Jonah said they were having system issues and could not access my info. Extremely unprofessional medical care! We are established patients not new. Scheduled my families appointments over 6 months ago for 9/21/22, was told via email today 9/19/22 that they needed to reschedule our appointments. When I called I was offered appointments for late November 2022. This puts myself and my daughter at 2 months over our Scheduled routine care and exam. i have dentures that i cant wear and i was charged an extra fee that i already paid. the associate dentist, Dr Grassi was "put out" having to get me fitted properly. and now they are telling me my money back guarantee has passed...according to their website i have a one year warrantee not 6mos

I had a tooth extraction done on my back last molar. Apparently I found out seconds before the Dr started the process on my tooth, he should have had better xrays. I felt by what I heard and by my experience, that the docter had no idea the condition of my tooth. I was told by other professionals, I should have been put asleep & an oral surgeon should have done the task. This office broke a tool inside my girlfriends tooth and left a piece of it while doing a root canal. The doctor said it would be fine in there and that it was common practice. It is now causing infections and needs to be broken open and removed. They say my girlfriend signed away her rights in there fine print documents. So now we must pay for the tooth to be broken back open, the tool removed and the cost of the new root canal..... Absolutely no ethics.....

They're hard sell approach is off putting. They never sent a treatment estimate to my insurance company and made us feel like this was the only option and we had to commit right now. I will say that the facility was clean, the staff were extremely pleasant, and I believe that the care would have been good. It was like a high pressure car sale...
