I went to Dr. Patkar a little over 2 years ago after failed attempts with several doctors to totally overcome an addiction to prescription drugs and to deal with my depression. Dr. Patkar is hands down the best doctor I've ever been to. His knowledge is far beyond the scope of just his specialty. I have been very fortunate to have Dr. Patkar as a therapist, confidant and mentor for more than ten years. He has treated my depression and substance abuse issues with a wonderful combination of medication and therapeutic sessions. He has gotten me through a most difficult time in my life with his patience and nurturing spirit. He is a humanist and one of the most sincere and caring persons I have ever met!

You will have a hard time finding a practitioner who stays any period of time. It takes time to switch to another practitioner when they leave. They will NOT bridge your medications you have taken for years. You will be forced to cold turkey meds. They will push TMS (waste of money) and Spravato relentlessly. There are a lot of better practices in the area.

I brought my son in for a ketamine treatment at 1. I assumed it would take about an hour. It had been a while since his last reatment and I thought they lasted an hour. I told the receptionist at the front desk I needed to leave at 2 to pick up my grandkids and asked if my son would start on time. She said he would start on time. The reason I asked, is we have sat in the waiting room in the past for up to an hour before he was seen. I strongly recommend making an appointment to see them. Also, the service I receive at their office is excellent each time. It is always warm and welcoming with a great experience.
