This was a brilliant evening with perfect ambience, quiet music, appropriately attentive yet discreet staff. The restaurant layout, furniture and decor were perfect for a relaxing enjoyment of the food. The food was of a high standard with excellent presentation, cooked to perfection. Went with the kids (teenagers). Real pub grub focus on the menu. Food is excellent and tasted brill. Not many lighter options. One point for us was that the service was pretty slow. All done with a smile and the staff were lovely.

The restaurant is dark and cozy. The staff was friendly and unhurried, perfect for a leisurely dinner. We had the Sunday roast and it was delicious. A huge portion of beef, potatoes, vegetables and a Yorkshire pudding. The Bloody Mary was really good. The server asked us how spicy we wanted the drink. At 6 it was a little more than we are used to, but the flavor made it worthwhile.
