Had a wonderful experience of The Riverbank tales. Staff were so friendly and food was fresh and delicious. It was my mums first visit to Edinburgh and having the experience at badger & co, made it that much special and the staff made it special for her!

Had the lamb and it was perfect. Setting was great and the single malts very enjoyable.

We took our 16 week old puppy and the staff couldn't have made us feel more welcome. They brought him a bed, bowl of water and every time a waiter came to our table he got a treat. Small plates were very tasty and whole experience was fantastic. Beautiful building with great atmosphere
We waited for 30-40 mins for first pint of beer to come after placing order …. It’s kinda very slow , and obviously the waitress forget about the order , as when we ask where were the drinks , she was like … um…what did you order, again ? Food quality was so so in my perspective, saw some good comments before I booked . So it’s kinda disappointing. The vegetables on side were pretty tasteless and pies were only warm when served, while we expect them to be a lot hotter as it’s looked like just took out from oven .
This cozy, homey restaurant welcomed us with its Wind in the Willows theme and corresponding Scottish food. We enjoyed the Chicken and Mushroom Pie and Game Pie (while enjoying the background modern country music). Sticky toffee pudding perfectly completed our dining experience here. Highly recommended!

Loved the name of the restaurant, so we took a chance and booked 2 for dinner. The ambience was nice, the presentation of the menus and check were adorable using books/book covers, and the fish and chips were delicious!
